Nico Robin, Franky, Brook, and Jinbe remain with the Giant Warrior Pirates, while Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, and Usopp have mysteriously arrived in Elbaf. What’s more, this latter group has already found themselves in significant trouble, having attacked local wildlife and even consuming what appears to be a local deity in the form of a giant rabbit known as the Ear God.
Tony Tony Chopper, the crew’s human-reindeer hybrid, is also notably missing as these events unfold. However, his absence may not be coincidental, given Chopper’s unique ability to communicate with various forms of wildlife. This situation raises the possibility that Chopper could become the crucial player in the early segments of the One Piece Elbaf arc, particularly following the chaotic behavior of the Monster Trio.
The Elbaf Arc Sets the Stage for Luffy’s Troubles, Only Chopper Can Resolve
To elaborate, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji have engaged in some reckless antics prior to Nami regaining consciousness in the Big Stein Castle. This could also clarify Chopper’s current absence from the crew, possibly having woken up as the Monster Trio created chaos and passing them by in the forest. While the Monster Trio returned to the Big Stein Castle, Chopper may have stayed back to offer assistance as a doctor and repair relations.
Such a scenario would not only give Chopper a pivotal role in the Elbaf arc but also provide him with a significant moment to shine, despite being one of the less powerful fighters in the crew.
