Chun Woo-hee has always looked up to Jean Edmund Dujardin, the first French actor to receive the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the 2011 film “Artist.” In fact, the Korean actress even took to Instagram to send him direct messages expressing her admiration for him.
In 2017, Chun Woo-hee received a message from Jean Dujardin on her Instagram DM, complimenting her as an “amazing actress.”However, she was initially surprised when she discovered that the message was sent from the official account of the real Jean Dujardin. It was reported that Jean Dujardin had sent this message to Chun Woo-hee after watching her performances in “The Wailing”and “Love, Lies,”which were released at the time.
Upon receiving the message, Chun responded to Jean Dujardin with gratitude and astonishment. She felt as though she was soaring and saw this recognition as a motivation to continue working tirelessly without becoming arrogant. Additionally, she took the opportunity to suggest her acclaimed film, “Han Gong-ju,”to him.
