Chuu, a former member of LOONA, has revealed that she looks up to a specific K-pop soloist as her role model.
On June 25, 2024, Chuu’s highly-anticipated solo comeback arrived with her second mini-album, “Strawberry Rush,”featuring the lead single of the same name. This release comes after a gap of eight months since her first mini-album, “Howl,”and four months since her previous single, “Chocolate.”
The album “Strawberry Rush”is closely intertwined with “Howl,”as both share a similar perspective on life. It revisits cherished childhood aspirations and recollections that have been overshadowed by the pursuit of success in the mundane reality.
The first track is an electrifying pop song featuring a dreamy synthesizer sound accompanied by a catchy beat. The playful lyrics perfectly match Chuu’s vibrant energy and emotions.
Chuu shines not just as a vocalist, but also actively engages in various entertainment programs. Moreover, the idol is eager to explore her talents in the field of acting.
In regards to her wide range of supporters, she explained, “My fan base consists of individuals who discovered me through performances, LOONA’s promotions, and even my solo projects. I have numerous aspirations and hope to display my development through different endeavors. I also have a desire to pursue acting, as it would provide an opportunity for me to connect with fans through diverse platforms in the future.”
At her press conference, Chuu declared IU as her ultimate role model, citing her remarkable talent for excelling in various fields beyond just singing.
Aspiring to achieve the same level of success as IU, she declares, “Even as I continue to learn, my goal is to follow in IU’s footsteps and make steady progress. I had the chance to meet her backstage at one of her concerts, where she warmly welcomed me. If given another opportunity, I would be delighted to attend her concert once more. My ultimate goal is to one day amaze her.”
At the beginning of her career, Chuu first appeared as an actress in the web drama “Dating Class”.
The idol looked back on that time with great fondness, sharing, “It was a truly unforgettable experience that ignited my interest in acting. Ever since, I have been honing my acting skills by closely studying dramas and movies. I find it fulfilling to see myself on screen while preparing for my albums. This process of analyzing my expressions, angles, and movements on screen drives me to take my acting pursuits more seriously.”
