On June 4th, CJ ENM, the host of KCON, informed Newsen that Eclipse will not be performing at the event. Additionally, the group is not included in the list of upcoming performers on Mnet’s “M Countdown”show.
The production team of “Lovely Runner”released an official statement through Newsen, denying the reports of Eclipse’s appearance at KCON. Additionally, the agencies of the actors who portrayed members of Eclipse also denied the news of the group’s participation in KCON.
Recently, Daily Sports announced that Eclipse’s Byun Woo-seok, Lee Seung-hyup, Moon Si-on, and Yang Hyuk are gearing up for a performance at KCON in Los Angeles this July.
The drama “Lovely Runner”, which concluded on May 28th, features a band called Eclipse, led by the main character Ryu Seon-jae (played by Byun Woo-seok). Byun Woo-seok’s portrayal as the main vocalist of Eclipse left a lasting impression not only on drama enthusiasts, but also on music enthusiasts with his rendition of “Sudden Shower”, the OST of “Lovely Runner”. The song gained tremendous recognition, climbing up the music charts and reaching No.5 on Melon TOP 100, as of May 24th.
Since the drama’s success, Byun Woo-seok has been inundated with love calls and is thoughtfully deliberating on his next project.
Before officially announcing his next project, Byun Woo-seok made the decision to embark on his first solo Asia fanmeeting tour ‘SUMMER LETTER’. He will kick off the tour in Taipei, Taiwan before visiting other major cities in Asia such as Seoul, Bangkok, and Hong Kong to interact with his fans. His upcoming two-day fanmeeting in Seoul, taking place at Jangchung Gymnasium on July 6th and 7th, has already sold out within minutes of ticket sales opening, a testament to Byun Woo-seok’s increasing fame and popularity.
