Clip from Deadpool & Wolverine Causes Concern for One Major Reason

A recent video clip featuring Deadpool and Wolverine has been circulating, and numerous individuals have pointed out a significant cause for concern.

Despite the release of Deadpool & Wolverine being two months away, there has already been an abundance of previews for the highly anticipated Marvel movie. On May 5, a new clip was released which has sparked some controversy due to its lighting.

In the video, Deadpool and Wolverine can be seen seated at a restaurant (which fans have speculated to be Joe’s Pizza from Spider-Man 2). Soon after, they come across the decomposing skull of Ant-Man, prompting Deadpool to remark: “Looks like Paul Rudd finally aged, huh?”

Although Wolverine and Deadpool are discussing whether he should wear his mask to conceal his face, the clip still manages to give us a glimpse of Paul Rudd’s timeless youthfulness. While it may be enjoyable, some viewers have found the lack of proper lighting to be a bit of a distraction. (You can see for yourself in the clip below.)

One person who identified as an X user commented, “It seems like they didn’t have any budget for lighting.”

“During my videography class in college, we were instructed to avoid conducting interviews in front of windows as it would cause backlighting on the subjects and we did not have the necessary equipment to handle it. As it turns out, Disney also faces this issue.”

One individual commented, “Even with a budget of $250 million, the lighting in this film is still subpar.”Similarly, another person stated, “The visuals in this movie are surprisingly terrible.”

According to another user, the conversation scenes are shot like a student film. They questioned why the production, with its significant budget, could not do better.

Despite not having the best start, the new movie may still deserve the benefit of the doubt. This is only one clip, so there is a possibility that the lighting may have been adjusted later on or that it is just a minor issue in an otherwise well-lit film. We will need to wait until July 26 to confirm.
