Cloud Accused of Pressuring Baek Yerin: “Requested Couple Ring Post-Breakup, Allegations of Verbal Abuse”

On October 14th, Cloud took to his personal social media to post a heartfelt message, stating, “This is dedicated to my colleagues who have faith in me and to my partner, who suffered despite having done nothing wrong.”

Having departed from his previous agency, PLP, in February, and also distancing himself from the band The Volunteers, Cloud opened up about the difficulties he encountered.

During his tenure at PLP, he described how he went above and beyond his typical responsibilities to assist a “PLP artist,” aiming to minimize disruptions caused by the artist’s intense emotional swings and impulsive behaviors.

Speculation among netizens suggests that the “PLP artist” refers to the singer Baek Yerin.

Cloud explained that he devoted himself entirely to this role, even after entering into a new relationship. He noted that he had to keep in constant contact regarding the “PLP artist,” coordinating with the artist and the staff from morning until night. He disclosed that the artist made inappropriate comments regarding his relationship, including remarks such as, “You’re going to marry me anyway” and “Are you still dating that girl?”

He further revealed that not wearing the couple ring they had exchanged would impact their collaborative projects, and he repeatedly requested the artist to refrain from making personal comments during performances. Despite this, the artist continued to reference their past nicknames and inside jokes publicly.

After enduring verbal mistreatment, Cloud made the decision to leave the group and the agency. He also alleged that the artist changed the studio password without his consent, which prevented him from accessing his personal gear. Ultimately, he managed to recover his equipment several months later through various means.

Cloud added, “Even though I was once romantically involved with the PLP artist, it has been quite some time since we transitioned back to a professional relationship. Nevertheless, after our breakup, I maintained a level of support that exceeded my professional obligations to ensure the schedule wasn’t disrupted.” He also shared that he needed to take legal steps after a collaboratively written song was performed without his consent.

As PLP exclusively manages Baek Yerin and The Volunteers, many believe that the “PLP artist” Cloud referred to is indeed Baek Yerin.
