CM Punk roasts Seth Rollins’ “goofy” Wrestlemania 40 entrance

Despite an exciting championship bout between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, CM Punk’s humorous commentary stole the spotlight at the start of the second night of Wrestlemania 40.

In a match for the World Heavyweight Title, Seth Rollins, the current champion, entered the ring accompanied by The Mummers, dressed in a similar fashion to Adam Rose and the Rosebuds.

Rollins made his way down the ramp, dancing as he approached the “Scottish Psychopath”who was already in the ring. However, on his path to the ring, guest commentator CM Punk launched into a tirade at the entrance.

Despite being a long-time rival, Punk couldn’t resist calling Rollins a “goof”during a recent appearance on Fadeaway Media. Even fellow announcer Pat McAfee couldn’t contain his laughter as he joined in on the teasing.

“Punk’s words, much to the delight of McAfee, would surely have had Liberace rolling over in his grave,”stated in a tweet by Awful Announcing.

Fans on the internet also participated in the mocking, as several supported Punk’s evaluation, including one user on X who referred to Rollins as a “clown.”

Despite some criticism, many WWE fans praised Rollins’ unconventional entrance to the ring, hailing him as an “icon”and enthusiastically joining in with his dance moves both at home and in the crowd.

Rollins came into the match with major injuries inflicted by The Rock during Night 1 of Wrestlemania 40.

After the bell rang, the champion was taken by surprise when McIntyre delivered a sudden “Claymore Kick,”resulting in him quickly landing on the mat.

Despite Rollins’ courageous efforts, his injuries proved to be too much to overcome. McIntyre dominated the match and ultimately dethroned the first-ever champion.
