CoD Zombies Fans Express Concerns That Black Ops 6 May Have Ruined the Game Mode

Having observed streamers playing the second CoD Zombies map, Liberty Falls, at CoD Next, viewers are concerned that the game mode may have lost its defining features.

After a four-year absence, Black Ops 6 finally brings back the highly anticipated round-based Zombies mode.

At the time of release, players can expect to have access to two maps and a variety of fresh additions, such as the ability to save and exit the game and a third-person perspective. Furthermore, the game mode will reintroduce popular elements like perk machines, GobbleGums, wonder weapons, and the pack-a-punch machine.

Despite the initial excitement among fans, their enthusiasm quickly waned upon viewing Liberty Falls gameplay at the COD NEXT event.

Despite facing criticism, CharlieIntel addressed player concerns by stating that Terminus, the other map, caters to the preferences of hardcore series fans while Liberty Falls is better suited for those who prefer a more casual play style.

To put it simply, that was insufficient in alleviating tensions.

Many complaints arise from players having access to armor and loadouts at the beginning of a match and being able to exfil during a round.

“One player stated that while Liberty Falls may seem unimpressive, the main issue with contemporary Zombies is the overwhelming influence of Warzone’s mechanics.”

Despite players’ complaints about the HUD, it is fully customizable, allowing for the removal of enemy health bars or any other unnecessary elements.

Some players argue that the game mode has deviated too far from its origins.

“Another commenter disagreed, stating that it was unlikely that the developers had spent four years working on black ops 6. They believed that the game was just a rehash of the previous installment, Cold War 2.0, and that the zombies aspect was poorly executed.”

Prior to becoming overly enthusiastic, a portion of the player population would like to test out the game mode rather than making hasty judgments.
