The creators of the popular ‘Cold Ones’ online show are seeking to collaborate with MrBeast, the most subscribed YouTuber, in order to acquire Hot Ones from Buzzfeed.
In June 2024, reports surfaced that Buzzfeed was considering selling its ‘First We Feast’ YouTube channel, known for hosting Sean Evans’ widely popular interview series Hot Ones.
According to Bloomberg, Buzzfeed received multiple offers for the sale of the company, however, none of the interested parties were willing to meet the asking price of $70 million.
There have been countless celebrities on Hot Ones.
The high cost can be attributed to the popularity of Hot Ones, where numerous A-list celebrities, including Gordan Ramsay, Dave Grohl, Paul Rudd, Tom Holland, and others, have been featured.
Currently, Cold Ones, a competing YouTube channel, is seeking to benefit from its accomplishments and is interested in collaborating with MrBeast to acquire the show.
While Hot Ones showcases famous individuals consuming chicken wings with a variety of spicy sauces, Cold Ones follows Chad ‘Anything4views’ Roberts and Max ‘Maxmoefoe’ Stanley as they partake in drunken challenges.
On June 24, the channel shared a report on Buzzfeed potentially selling Hot Ones, mentioning that First We Feast earns $30M annually.
“Cold Ones asked MrBeast if they could talk, tagging the platform’s biggest creator.”

As of now, the YouTuber has yet to respond to the business proposition… however, it has the potential to be a wise investment, especially considering MrBeast’s significant involvement in the food industry.
In 2020, he famously opened MrBeast Burger, followed by the launch of his own chocolate bar line, called ‘Feastables,’ just two years later. The highly sought-after product will soon even have a white chocolate option available.
It is uncertain if MrBeast will choose to enter the sauce market and expand his YouTube empire with another network, but it has the potential to elevate his content to even higher levels than his current success.
