In January 2025, the city experienced the outbreak of multiple wildfires, with neighborhoods like Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and Hollywood Hills suffering severe damage.

The wildfires have forced thousands of residents to evacuate their homes, wreaking havoc and creating scenes many residents describe as “apocalyptic.”

Colin & Samir’s Heartfelt Reflection on Their Loss

On January 10th, the YouTube creators took to their social media to announce the loss of their homes due to the Palisades fire. They remarked on the overwhelming nature of their loss, sharing, “The enormity of the loss is very overwhelming. Both of our wives are pregnant, and our primary focus right now is getting back on stable ground.”

They expressed sincere thanks to their fans for the outpouring of support and extended their heartfelt appreciation to fellow YouTube group Dude Perfect, who initiated a GoFundMe campaign aimed at helping them rebuild amidst this devastating loss.

“We’re grateful to the firefighters and first responders for their tireless efforts in combating the fire,” they added. “To everyone who follows along with us, words don’t begin to capture how much you mean to us.”

As of now, the GoFundMe has raised an impressive $129,000, approaching their goal of $150,000. Fans have flooded the comments with messages of solidarity and encouragement.

YouTuber Mike Majlak expressed his condolences, stating, “I am so sorry, guys.” Another fellow creator, Jay Clouse, commented, “Gutted for you guys. Grateful you’re all safe and here with the community you’ve helped so much to support you building back better.” Additionally, Ryan Trahan, a prominent YouTube personality, contributed $50,000 to the fund.

Colin & Samir are not alone in their struggle; other LA-based influencers have also been affected by the January 2025 wildfires. Notable figures such as TikTok star Harry Mack and FaZe Kaysan have also lost their homes in this calamity.
