Community’s Request for Single-Player in GTA 6 Despite Popular GTA Online

Despite some fans expressing their dislike for GTA Online, there is still one major desire among GTA 6 fans for the single-player aspect of the game.

Despite Grand Theft Auto 5 being a game from Rockstar, it was the first game in a long time to not include any additional single-player content. Previous games such as GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption had successful add-ons like Ballad of Gay Tony, Lost and The Damned, and Undead Nightmare.

Players are eagerly anticipating a second trailer and in-game screenshots, and are hoping that Rockstar will prioritize the single-player aspect. In particular, they desire more ways to replay the story for added enjoyment.

“According to Redditor DirtyGertrude’s statement, the upcoming game should prioritize enhancing the replay value for single-player mode. The user specifically hopes for a new sandbox era, clarifying that they do not want a life simulator or an online gameplay experience.”

Other players also expressed their agreement. One player stated, “I have taken leisurely walks from one town to another multiple times in RDR2. If a modern Miami setting could provide the same immersive world, I would be content to stay and continue playing for the next 5 years.”

Another person expressed their disappointment with the current state of GTAO, stating that even if it is initially fixed, they believe it won’t be long before it deteriorates again due to financial reasons.

GTA 6 is planned for Fall 2025.

According to another individual, GTA Online is the biggest mistake Rockstar has ever made and it will ultimately damage their reputation and future game releases. This is due to their current focus on multiplayer, rather than single-player. Another person added that they have a strong dislike for GTA Online and have only spent one hour playing it.

Despite initial plans for a James Bond-inspired single-player DLC for Trevor in GTA 5, Rockstar ultimately decided to cancel the project and instead developed the Doomsday Heist for GTA Online.

It is hoped that GTA 6 will continue with the DLC approach. While a large map is expected, the addition of new stories is always beneficial.
