The Black Greatsword is a massive weapon that draws inspiration from iconic dark greatswords, like Cloud’s Buster Sword from Final Fantasy and Guts’ Black Greatsword from Berserk. It features a unique charge attack that allows players to build pressure for a devastating strike.

How to Find

This weapon is relatively easy to acquire; you simply need some in-game currency. Visit Bravis in Ward 13 and purchase every weapon from his inventory. After depleting his dialogue options, he will provide you with a new item, Black Metal Bars. Take this item to McCabe and give it to her. Afterward, travel away and return to receive your new Black Greatsword.

Weapon Mod

The Black Greatsword comes with the following mod:

  • Indomitable Strike: This mod makes charged attacks Indomitable. While charging, you cannot be staggered, and gain a 15% damage reduction. The charging damage can reach a maximum of 350%. Additionally, it includes an empty Mutator Slot.

How to Find

To obtain the Monorail, defeat the boss Alepsis Taura, who drops the Eternity Chamber boss item. Bring it to Ava in Ward 13 to craft the weapon.

Weapon Mod

The Monorail features the mod:

  • Recoil Dampener: Activating this mod stabilizes the Monorail, increasing its charge speed by 25% and reducing recoil and sway by 75%. It lasts for 20 seconds. For each 5% of the charge meter filled upon firing, you gain 1% critical chance and critical damage, up to a maximum of 20.

The Harvester Scythe is one of the most stylish new additions to Remnant 2, and serves as the signature weapon of the new Warden Archetype. Although finding it can be challenging, it’s a flashy choice for melee builds. With each attack, the weapon builds up speed and damage, leading to a series of lethal strikes.

How to Find

To locate the Harvester Scythe, proceed into a cave under a cliff after using the Glider Pad located north of the Propagation Field checkpoint in the Agronomy Sector. Avoid the air vents and glide over the river while searching for the cave entrance on the cliffside. Navigate through the cave to find the Harvester Scythe on a corpse.

Weapon Mod

The Harvester Scythe includes the skill Phantom Blade:

  • Phantom Blade: Charged melee attacks leave a phantom trail that inflicts 35% of the weapon damage. Each hit from Phantom Blade enhances melee attack speed and charge speed by 6% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times.

How to Find

The Genesis can be obtained as a reward from a Glyph Door in the Withered Necropolis.

Weapon Mod

The Genesis comes equipped with the weapon mod Mega Drive:

  • Mega Drive: This mod activates when a valid target is in sight, marking it with quantum Entanglement. All Genesis projectiles will then seek the Entangled targets after the initial hit, dealing 50% of primary fire damage. Reactivating switches the Entangled target for 15 seconds.

When fired, the payload explodes in a 4m radius upon contact with a human ally, or remains inactive for up to 15 seconds until an ally approaches. Only one stored Relic can be held at a time, and modifications are not allowed.

How to Find

The Dark Matter Gauntlets are craftable using the boss item drop from Alepsis Taura, given to Ava McCabe in Ward 13.

Weapon Mod

  • Kilonova: Charged melee attacks empower the Gauntlets for 15 seconds, increasing standard melee damage by 25%, while charged melee attacks unleash penetrating blasts for 8m. Each blast decreases the duration.
  • While empowered, performing a Charged Melee Attack during a Neutral Backdash gathers power for up to 5 seconds, subsequently firing a DARKNESS BEAM that inflicts 125 melee damage every 0.5 seconds. The duration of the beam matches the time charged, concluding the Kilonova effect once fired.
