Complete Guide to All Maps and Modes in Black Ops 6 Beta

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to launch with 16 new maps, but players will only have access to a select few during the game’s beta phase.

The Black Ops 6 beta is scheduled to begin on Aug. 30 and conclude on Sept. 3 for those who pre-ordered the game on all platforms. After this initial period, the beta will be open to all players from Sept. 6 to Sept. 9.

During the test phase, players will only have access to multiplayer modes, requiring them to wait for the full release to experience Zombies and Campaign missions.

Let’s dive into what players can anticipate.

Game Modes Available in the Beta

Below are the game modes featured in the Black Ops 6 beta:

  • Team Deathmatch: Collaborate with your team to eliminate enemy players and reach the score limit.
  • Domination: Capture and hold up to three zones to earn points for your team.
  • Hardpoint: Secure the Hardpoint, which shifts locations throughout the match, to accumulate points.
  • Face Off: Engage in matches with either two players versus two, one versus one on compact maps, or three versus three.
  • Kill Order: Teams must target a high-value player. All kills are counted, but taking down the high-value target awards extra points. This player gets additional armor and their location is revealed when spotted by an enemy.
  • Gunfight: Use predetermined classes to eliminate all enemy players without respawns to win the round.

In Domination, players will capture zones instead of flags, while Hardpoint features numbered zones for better strategic planning during rotations.

Here is a list of all the maps available during the beta:

  • Core: Scud, Babylon, Rewind, Skyline, Derelict
  • Strike: Gala, Pit, Stakeout

The Rewind map and Kill Order game mode were not available at the beta’s launch, but they have since been added. Kill Order features its own playlist and also appears randomly in the Moshpit playlist.

Stakeout is exclusive to the Gunfight mode, while Pit is only available in Face Off. On the other hand, Gala can be played in both alternate playlists.

The Core maps will support 6v6 matches, while the Strike maps will accommodate both 6v6 and 2v2 lobbies. During Call of Duty NEXT, players had the opportunity to preview some of these new maps. Notably, the Strike maps have no scorestreaks, keeping the encounters intense and close-quarters.
