Upcoming Promo Cards

As of December 16, all Promo cards currently visible in-game are either available or have been obtainable in Pokémon TCG Pocket. We will keep this section updated as new sets and updates roll out, including any unobtainable promos.

Understanding Promo Cards

Promo cards are special cards that players can acquire outside of the standard booster packs. These cards exist independently of the card sets, offering unique gameplay opportunities.

While most Promo cards mirror the stats of their base counterparts, some may feature unique statistics or abilities, especially those categorized as rare.

Fortunately, there are several methods to obtain Promo cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket, countering the notion that they are difficult to find.

Participate in In-Game Events

One of the easiest ways to acquire Promo cards is by engaging in in-game events.

Currently ongoing is the Lapras Ex Event, where players can battle Lapras Ex for the chance to earn a Promo Pack after each victory. These packs contain various Promo cards, making the event a great opportunity for collectors.

Purchase from In-Game Shops

It’s important to note that not all Promo cards are available in packs; some can be directly purchased from the in-game shop using Shop Tickets.

The most effective way to gather these tickets is through fellow players when they use your pack during a Wonder Pick, or through completion of tutorial missions.

Each Promo card in the shop is priced at 2 tickets, so, to collect them all, players will need a total of 14 tickets.

Achieve Missions for Cards

Some Promo cards can also be unlocked through mission completion, as seen with the upcoming Mewtwo card.

To obtain the Mewtwo Promo card, players must collect 5 Mewtwo cards, which can be challenging. It’s likely that future Promo cards may follow a similar design approach.

This concludes our overview of the current Promo cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Be sure to stay tuned for additional updates and card releases!
