One of the most adorable aspects of Stoic’s Towerborne is the inclusion of Umbras. Despite their cuteness, they are powerful allies that can significantly influence the outcome of battles. If you’re curious about their functionalities and availability, here’s a comprehensive guide to all Umbras in Towerborne and how to obtain them.
All Umbras in Towerborne and How to Unlock Them
Umbras are unique features of Towerborne, taking the form of cute floating companions that assist you during battles. This feature becomes available after speaking to Ryx on the upper level of the Belfry. You will automatically unlock your first Umbra, Iska, while others require you to complete various challenges located on the World Map, specifically through Umbra Shrines.
Umbra Shrines are easily identifiable on the World Map, and you can unlock the Umbra they contain by completing the corresponding mission at that location.
While they may appear adorable, Umbras possess remarkable abilities, with several different ones that you can unlock in Towerborne. Each Umbra has unique combat abilities, with some being more effective than others based on your individual play style.
You will know when your Umbra’s ability is ready for use when it begins to glow bright blue. Once their energy is depleted and the ability goes on cooldown, they will cease glowing. You can change Umbras at any time outside of combat by accessing your character’s Loadout menu. The ‘Umbra’ option is located in the second column beneath your equipped weapon.
Below is a list of all currently available Umbras in Towerborne, along with instructions on how to unlock each one. This guide will continue to be updated as more Umbras become available.
