Complete Guide to Black Ops 6 Mastery Badges: Rewards and Acquisition Methods

In Black Ops 6, there are various exciting ways to flaunt your skills, from showcasing Mastery camos on weapons to the classic Prestige system. However, Treyarch has introduced an additional feature that will allow players to gain even more pride among their peers.

The latest addition, Mastery Badges, provides a new level of status, allowing you to demonstrate how proficient you’ve become with each piece of equipment.

What exactly are Mastery Badges?

Mastery Badges serve as a fresh progression feature in Black Ops 6 that acknowledges your expertise with various weapons, equipment types, and Scorestreaks. They are available in both multiplayer modes and Zombies, featuring distinct challenges for each experience.

Each item is associated with three badges, categorized from Bronze to Gold, which can be displayed in your Showcase. Additionally, you can select up to three badges to showcase each time you enter the Winner’s Circle at the conclusion of a match.

Moreover, adversaries will be able to see the badge associated with your equipped weapon in all KillCams, providing them insight into whether you’re a seasoned player or still mastering that particular gun.

How to earn Mastery Badges

To earn each Mastery Badge for a specific weapon, Scorestreak, or Grenade, it is necessary to fulfill a sequence of three objectives. There’s also a Diamond badge available for every category, such as Assault Rifles or SMGs, which can be earned by achieving Gold for every weapon, piece of equipment, or Scorestreak within that category.

The objectives for acquiring these badges vary by item, but some examples were detailed in the pre-launch progression blog:

Item Objective
Weapons Achieve Eliminations.
Frag Grenade Secure Frag kills.
Prox Alarm Tactical Equipment Eliminate enemies detected by your Prox Alarms.
Trophy System Destroy enemy projectiles using your Trophy System.
RC-XD Obtain kills with the RC-XD.

The required number of completions will differ based on the item and is likely to increase as you progress through the levels.

Rewards for Mastery Badges

Stat Tracker linked to that badge. This tracker displays the total number of kills, blocks, damage, and other stats accumulated, making it visible to everyone in the Winner’s Circle or during the KillCam.

While the other badges mainly serve aesthetic purposes, earning a Diamond badge for a category will also net you a “healthy XP Bonus” each time you accomplish this feat.

More information about Mastery Badges will likely become available when Black Ops 6 officially launches on October 25, and we will provide updates to this page with comprehensive details on how to unlock each of the available rewards. In the meantime, discover how to preload the game and utilize the New Zealand trick for early gameplay.
