Dragon Age: The Veilguard is set to launch soon, and if you’re eager to join the titular order and protect Thedas, a bit of planning is essential. Below is a comprehensive overview of all the editions of Dragon Age: The Veilguard and their respective pre-order bonuses.
After nearly ten years of anticipation, fans are finally gearing up for a new Dragon Age adventure. While there were some initial worries about the reveal trailer, opinions are starting to warm up towards Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
The exciting hints at the return of beloved characters and a gameplay style reminiscent of the hit Baldur’s Gate 3 have sparked significant pre-release buzz.
If you’re ready to dive back into Thedas, securing a copy of the game in advance might be on your mind. Here’s all the relevant information about the different editions of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, including pricing details and pre-order incentives.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Standard Edition – $69.99 / £59.99
Pre-ordering the Standard Edition of Dragon Age: The Veilguard will provide you with the game for your chosen platform. In a pleasant twist compared to typical Standard Editions, Bioware has included a small extra bonus.
Those who opt for this edition will receive the Blood Dragon Armor cosmetic transmog. This features three distinct looks, as its appearance differs based on the class you select. Note that these are purely cosmetic and do not impact gameplay stats.
The Blood Dragon Armor serves as a nostalgic nod to Dragon Age: Origins.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Deluxe Edition – $89.99 / £79.99
The Deluxe Edition of Dragon Age: The Veilguard significantly enhances the bonus offerings. In addition to the base game and the Blood Dragon Armor, players will receive a host of extra cosmetic items, including:
- 6 Cosmetic Weapon Appearances for Rook.
- 1 Warrior Armor Set Appearance for Rook.
- 1 Mage Armor Set Appearance for Rook.
- 1 Rogue Armor Set Appearance for Rook.
- 7 Weapon Appearances for Companions.
- 7 Armor Set Appearances for Companions.
Similar to the Blood Dragon Armor, the items included in the Deluxe Edition are strictly cosmetic and serve as transmogs for your equipped gear, offering no compatibility bonuses for Rook or their companions.
The weapon transmogs included with the Deluxe Edition of Dragon Age: The Veilguard are also accessible to companions.
Rook’s Coffer – $149.99 / £119.99
This offering stands out as a bit of an unusual choice. Rook’s Coffer encompasses what could be deemed a Dragon Age: The Veilguard Collector’s Edition but lacks one critical component: it does not include the game itself.
Nonetheless, it features a plethora of physical items that are all connected to the game, including:
- A Light-Up Lyrium Dagger – A replica of the dagger used by Solas during his rituals.
- Rook’s Card Deck – A 52-card deck showcasing images from the game’s universe.
- Enchanted Die – A D12 die imprinted with the dialogue-wheel icons to randomize your gameplay, accompanied by a drawstring pouch.
- Glass Potion Flask – A decorative replica of your healing flask (not meant for actual drinking).
- Cloth Map and Quiver – An illustrated map of Thedas paired with a Quiver Tube for storage.
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard Companion Lithographs – 18 x 24-inch prints featuring the seven companions from the game.
- Thank You Letter – A note from Game Director Corinne Busch and Creative Director John Epler.
It’s worth noting that this bundle does not come with a copy of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, so if you plan to play it upon release, you’ll need to select one of the options above as well.
Please refrain from using the Lyrium Dagger for any harm.
These are all the editions currently announced for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. We will keep this updated should any additional editions be revealed as we approach the game’s launch on October 31, 2024.
