Complete Guide to Every Ending in Dead Rising: Deluxe Remastered Edition

The Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster features multiple endings, which vary based on key factors such as whether you arrive at the rendezvous point on time for extraction and if you manage to complete all the cases. Below is a guide to every ending in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and how to achieve them.

Ending F

This is arguably the darkest ending available. To unlock Ending F, you must let the timer run out during the Bomb Collector case. Consequently, the explosives hidden in the maintenance tunnels will detonate, launching the parasite into the atmosphere and triggering a nationwide outbreak.

Ending E

For this ending, you must fail to solve all the cases and not make it to the helipad in time. Instead, Otis will take Ed’s place at the helipad with any survivors, leaving Frank’s fate up in the air.

Ending D

In the latter part of the game, Special Forces will appear in the mall to manage the outbreak. If they can deplete Frank’s health bar, they will capture him. Should the timer expire while he is imprisoned, the Special Forces will take him away, again leaving his fate uncertain.

Ending C

To reach Ending C, you need to solve all the cases but fail to meet one of the critical objectives: speaking to Isabela by 10 AM on the fourth day. Although you will receive a radio reminder, if you miss this interaction, Ed will be attacked by a zombie while waiting for Frank.

Ending B

To achieve Ending B, fail to resolve all the cases while being present at the helipad at noon on the fourth day. In this scenario, Ed will successfully pick up Frank along with any other survivors and flee to safety. However, Frank’s inability to unveil the truth leads to increased outbreaks across the USA.

Ending A

Ending A is achieved by solving every case and being at the helipad at the designated time, making it the most challenging ending to unlock. In this outcome, Frank will find himself alone at the helipad since the others have either been rescued by the Special Forces or have escaped. Just as Ed arrives to save Frank, he is attacked by a zombie in his helicopter, resulting in deadly consequences. Frank collapses as zombies close in on him, which opens up Overtime Mode.

Ending Z

Unlocking Ending A also grants access to Overtime Mode, where you’ll face an extensive fetch quest to escape the mall. To reach Ending Z, simply fail to complete your objectives in time, leading to Frank’s transformation into a zombie without having the opportunity to reveal the truth.

Ending S (True Ending)

To reach this conclusion, you must successfully complete Overtime Mode. After defeating the final boss, Brock, you will find both surrounded by hordes of the undead. An epilogue reveals that Frank manages to escape and disseminate the truth. However, this is bittersweet news. Despite the government acknowledging its role in the outbreak, the incident swiftly disappears from public focus. Moreover, the validity of Carlito’s Orphans—a group of children infected with the parasite who will eventually become zombies—is left in doubt, which raises concerns for potential future outbreaks.
