In the vibrant world of Palworld, Honey plays a crucial role in creating Cakes, which are essential for operating the Breeding Farm. For players eager to maximize their breeding potential, understanding how to collect Honey efficiently is vital.
Resource gathering is just as important in Palworld as capturing new Pals. Players will encounter various materials like Electric Organs for crafting or Pure Quartz for circuit creation. Although Honey may not have multiple uses like other items, it is a valuable addition to your inventory.
How to Obtain Honey in Palworld
Players cannot purchase Honey from any Wandering Merchant. Therefore, the primary method to acquire Honey is by defeating or capturing specific Pals or cultivating it at your base.
Currently, only five Pals drop Honey within the game:
- Cinnamoth (#41)
- Beegarde (#50)
- Elizabee (#51)
- Warsect (#92)
- Warsect Terra (#92b)
For beginners, Cinnamoth is the ideal Pal for Honey farming due to its lower difficulty level. Targeting Cinnamoths early in the game will allow players to gather Honey quicker. Be sure to prepare adequately as you progress to capture tougher Pals.
Where to Find Honey in Palworld
Below is a comprehensive list of locations where players can encounter Pals that yield Honey:
Cinnamoths inhabit the central island surrounding the Mountain Stream Grotto dungeons. Exploring this area will lead you to these Honey-producing Pals.

Cinnamoths can be found in the highlighted areas.
The Beegarde is a reliable source of Honey and can be found easily in the Frostbound Mountains. Approach them cautiously, as their Bee Quiet attack can be lethal, causing fatal damage before capture.

Beegardes and Elizabees can be found in the highlighted areas.
Elizabees can be found throughout the northeastern grassy areas near the Frostbound Mountains, where Beegardes also roam. Additionally, players may spot an Alpha Elizabee in the Devout’s Mineshaft located in the Moonless Shore, just north of the Ancient Ritual Site.

Note that locating Elizabee may prove challenging since their dungeon is concealed within a cave.
Encountering Warsect may be more difficult initially. Players can find an Alpha Boss Warsect in the Sealed Realm of the Stalwart dungeon at level 30, or within the No.2 Wildlife Sanctuary on the western section of Palpagos Island.
Meanwhile, Warsect Terra, an Alpha Boss introduced during the Feybreak update, can be discovered just west of the Loess Plains teleport point on the new island. While farming Honey from this creature is possible, with a level of 59, it is recommended to focus on other easier targets.

Warsects can be found in the highlighted areas.
Farming Honey in Palworld
In addition to obtaining Honey as drops from captured or deceased Pals, players can establish a Honey farm after reaching Ranch access at level 5.
This process involves capturing some of the aforementioned Pals and utilizing them at your base. We recommend securing a few Beegardes to kickstart your Honey production, but any of the mentioned Pals will suffice.

The Ranch, accessible at level 5, requires Fiber, Wood, and Stone to construct.
Bear in mind that acquiring Honey through ranching is a gradual process; it may take hours for Honey to accumulate. Thus, it is beneficial to populate your base with several Beegardes to optimize Honey production.
Ensure you have set up a Wooden Chest or Feed Box to collect all Honey in one convenient location.
Uses of Honey in Palworld: Recipes
In Palworld, Honey serves a singular purpose as a key ingredient in crafting Cakes. While it may seem limited, Cakes are instrumental for breeding Pals.
Once players unlock the Breeding Farm at level 19, they can create Eggs by combining various Pals. To do so, place a male and female together, add a Cake to a Chest, and allow time for the breeding process.
To craft a Cake, you will first need access to a Cooking Pot (available at level 17), which requires the following materials:
CATEGORY | ITEM | INGREDIENTS | USE | LEVEL | TECH REQUIRED |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Consumable | Cake | 2 Honey, 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Egg | A Cake for breeding Pals. | Lv. 17 | Cooking Pot, 2 Technology Points |
