Fortnite has unveiled its Fortnitemares 2024 event to celebrate Halloween this year, packed with numerous special challenges and exciting free rewards.
Following a one-day delay, Epic’s 31.40 update has finally launched, introducing a wealth of new skins, cosmetics, map alterations, mythic items, and some classic weapons back into the game.
As anticipated, players will find a variety of exclusive Halloween quests available during this event. Completing each of these tasks will grant experience points (XP) and may yield up to 11 unique cosmetic rewards.
The Halloween-themed items available include a Pickaxe, Glider, Contrail, Back Bling, Loading Screens, and more. Below, you’ll find a comprehensive list of all the Fortnitemares quests and the free rewards on offer.

You can access the full list of Fortnitemares 2024 quests from the Quests menu in the game.
Throughout the event, multiple sets of Halloween quests will become available. Each set will unlock on specific dates, which are detailed below.
Be sure to complete all available quests before 2 AM ET on November 2, 2023, as this will mark the conclusion of the event and the end of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4.
Every quest successfully completed will reward you with 20,000 XP, aiding you in leveling up. Accumulating XP from these challenges will assist you in progressing through the tiers of Fortnitemares XP Bonus Goals, unlocking additional rewards along the way.

Battle Royale Content
This year’s Fortnitemares event has introduced various new elements to the main Battle Royale modes.
These Nitemare quests require you to accomplish different objectives in both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. A total of six sets will be unlocked sequentially.
Nitemare One Quests
The Battle Royale Nitemare One quests became available on October 12:
- Visit Freaky Fields and The Underworld (2 locations)
- Locate and defeat Billy (1)
- Inflict damage on opponents using Boom Billy (150)
- Cover distance in the air with the Witch Broom (500)
- Gather items (20)
- Deal damage to opponents with a Chainsaw (1,500)

These quests will roll out on October 14 at 6 AM PT | 9 AM ET | 2 PM BST.
Nitemare Three Quests
Unlocking on October 18 at 6 AM PT | 9 AM ET | 2 PM BST.
Nitemare Four Quests
These quests will become available on October 21 at 6 AM PT | 9 AM ET | 2 PM BST.
Nitemare Five Quests
Unlocking on October 25 at 6 AM PT | 9 AM ET | 2 PM BST.

Horde Rush Gameplay
The Cube Monsters have made a return as part of the Horde Rush limited-time mode.
You will find two sets of quests to complete while engaging in Horde Rush during Fortnitemares 2024: Decimate The Horde and Eliminate the Horde:

- Inflict damage on Cube Monster Fiends (40,000)

Rocket Racing Mode
Rocket Racing includes its own set of Halloween-themed challenges.
Within these Nitemare quests, players must complete various tasks in Rocket Racing, with new challenges being released across six sets on different dates.
Nitemare One for Rocket Racing
- Total distance drifted or flown (75,000)
- Complete races (15)
- Activate Turbo Bonus Zones (25)
- Finish laps without hitting a Hazard (15)
- Achieve a total Startline Boost percentage in races (250)
- Finish laps in the top 6 positions (20)
