In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, players are presented with the challenging Terminus Main Quest, which offers an array of exciting rewards and a profound sense of accomplishment upon completion. This particular quest stands in contrast to the quicker Liberty Falls Main Quest, as it demands a commitment of at least two hours. Teaming up with friends can significantly enhance the gameplay experience, making the task more manageable than attempting it solo. This comprehensive guide aims to equip you with the necessary knowledge to conquer the Terminus Main Quest in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies.
Completing the Terminus Main Quest in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
1) Crafting the Beamsmasher
To embark on the Terminus Main Quest, your first objective is to acquire the Beamsmasher Wonder Weapon. While the Mystery Box presents a slim chance of obtaining this weapon, a reliable crafting method exists for those willing to put in the effort to create it from scratch. The Beamsmasher is vital for completing various objectives throughout the quest.
If you are fortunate enough to acquire it from the Mystery Box, you will save yourself the laborious crafting process. Should luck not be on your side, follow these steps to assemble the Beamsmasher:
- Activate three AMP Generators.
- Equip the Dead Wire Ammo Mod.
- Use the lift in the Bio Lab and send it upwards.
- While ascending, shoot three electrical boxes using the Dead Wire Ammo Mod.
- Locate and shoot two additional electrical boxes near the Juggernog Perk-a-Cola Machine to gain access to the Research Office.
- Collect the EMF Fob from the zombie carcass found in the Research Office.
- Activate three laptops located near the Quick Revive, Stamin-Up, and Deadshot Daiquiri Perk Machines.
- Retrieve the Multiphasic Resonator from a briefcase near the Elemental Pop Perk Machine.
- Convince Dr. Peck for a code and input it into the computer within the Research Office.
- Visit locations like Crab Island, Temple Island, or Castle Rock Island to charge the Multiphasic Resonator within specific Orbs.
- Acquire the AMP Munition Part from the Purple Orb and return it to the Research Office.
- Finally, craft the Beamsmasher.
2) Locate the Hard Drive
Next, your mission involves utilizing the Beamsmasher to destroy Tentacle Traps, ultimately leading to the acquisition of a Hard Drive. This operation is dependent on having your newly crafted weapon in hand. Tentacle Traps can be located inside the air vents situated above the doors on the first floor and within the Bio Lab.
It’s important to note that there isn’t a designated Tentacle Trap that guarantees a drop for the Hard Drive; your success lies in repeatedly taking down these traps until one yields the desired item. Look for buttons to activate the Tentacle Traps above the doors leading to:
- Speed Cola
- PhD Flopper
- Juggernog
- Bio Lab
At least one of these locations should drop the Hard Drive, a critical item for progressing in the Terminus quest.
Deliver the Hard Drive to Dr. Peck
Upon obtaining the Hard Drive, make your way to the initial spawn point of the Terminus map. You will find the control room across from the first AMP Generator, where Dr. Peck awaits. Drop the Hard Drive into the chute for him to successfully hack the central containment unit, located in the middle of the Bio Lab.
3) Discover the Code for Nathan’s Containment Unit
Your next objective is to rescue Maya’s brother, Nathan, who is imprisoned within the cylindrical central containment unit at the Bio Lab. You’ll notice a ‘Locked’ prompt on the numeric dialer, indicating the need for a three-digit passcode to unlock the unit.
First Digit in the Interrogation Room
To find the first digit, head to the Interrogation Room. Observe the hour hand of the clock there; this represents your first digit passcode.
Second Digit in the Mess Hall
Next, proceed to the Mess Hall, located after exiting the Interrogation Room. Behind a blue barrel, you will find a wooden board featuring a playing card; the number indicated on it will serve as your second digit.
Third Digit in the Engineering Room
To find the final digit, head to the Engineering section near the Juggernog Perk Machine. Look for a yellow sign that reads: “Safety First: Days Since Last Injury” . The numeral on this sign will complete your passcode.
4) Release Nathan and Defeat Him
With your complete passcode in hand, approach the containment unit in the Bio Lab, enter the code, and free Nathan. However, be prepared—Nathan is no longer human but rather a formidable Amalgam zombie.
To proceed with the quest, you must defeat Nathan and retrieve the Key Card from the water beneath him. He possesses more health than a standard Amalgam zombie and can regenerate health by consuming nearby zombies.
Ensure you have your strongest weapons and equipment prepared. Focus your fire on Nathan exclusively while using equipment like Decoys or Cymbal Monkeys to keep other zombies at bay, leading to a swift victory over the boss.
Accessing the Communications Room
The Key Card grants you access to a computer located in the Communications Room. However, an interaction will reveal a “Network Connection Error” message.
5) Navigate to the Wrecked Ship for Node Connectors
To resolve the Network Connection Error, you must locate two node connectors found within the wrecked ship. Accessing this area requires summoning a boat using Essence currency.
Look for a hole in the ship’s hull, where a ladder connects the exposed section to the Workshop room.
Within this Workshop room, you will find the two Node Connectors. Be prepared, as once you pick them up, the room will lock, resulting in a horde of zombies charging at you. Coordinating with teammates is essential, as those carrying the Node Connectors cannot run.
6) Place Node Connectors in Two Out of Three Locations
There are three potential locations for placing the two Node Connectors. These locations refresh with each play session of the Terminus Main Quest, and one will always have a Node Connector already placed. You will need to position yours in the two other available slots:
Node Connector Location | Description |
---|---|
Near Speed Cola | Within the Sea Caves connecting the ground floor and the Bio Lab, look for pipes running along the walls and a gap to insert the Node Connector. |
Below Sea Tower | Easily identifiable from a boat, look for one side of the pipe emerging from the water with another running on the surface, leaving space for another Node Connector. |
Crab Island | Located on the southern part of the Terminus map, find a workbench with pipes opposite it to place your Node Connector. |
7) Hack the Buoys
Next, you’ll focus on hacking three buoys. To initiate this process, first, obtain the hacking device from Dr. Peck near the spawn point in Terminus. Head out on your boat to locate the buoys, identifiable by the Parasites hovering nearby.
Upon reaching a buoy, jump into the water and use the interact button to deploy the Hacking Device. Be mindful of the two-minute timer that follows as you hack each buoy.
Make sure to hack all three buoys; failing to do so may trigger the “Buoys Losing Connection” error. This indicates that you missed hacking at least one buoy.
8) Defuse the Nukes
After successfully hacking all three buoys, rush to the Bio Lab. Utilize the passage connecting the Bio Lab and the sea for a quicker route, avoiding the caves.
You must defuse three bombs in the Bio Lab within a five-minute timeframe. Be prepared for purple-eyed zombies and others to swarm you as you interact with each bomb.
Typically, seek open doors with a green light above and a numeric door lock. Inside, you’ll find a console that initiates the bomb defusing process. Attempting this solo can be extremely challenging, but with a squad, it becomes more manageable.
9) Confront the Final Boss: Patient 13
After defusing the bombs, you will halt the detonation timer. The final battle against Patient 13, the boss of the Terminus quest, begins after defeating the bombs.
To access Patient 13, go through the door located near the Melee Macchiato Perk Machine. Approach the fight fully equipped with high-rarity weapons, sufficient ammunition, and enhancements from the Pack-a-Punch station.
Strategies for Defeating Patient 13
During the first phase of the encounter, Patient 13 will rely on tentacle strikes. Stay mobile to avoid damage, and target the red bulges on Patient 13’s shoulders to inflict damage.
Once you’ve dealt about 30-40% damage, Patient 13 will retreat into the water, summoning zombies to assist it. Eliminate these zombies to advance to the second phase.
In the second phase, expect a combination of attacks from the first phase, including a new tongue attack. Aim for Patient 13’s mouth whenever the chance arises for maximum damage.
The final phase kicks in when Patient 13’s health drops to below 30-25%. An electric field will surround it, signifying this critical stage. You will have three targets to focus on: its glowing blue eyes, mouth, and the red bubbles on its body.
With increased health and power, Patient 13 poses a significant challenge, particularly when utilizing its electric orb attack. Maintain your distance and concentrate your assault to swiftly defeat Patient 13 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies.
