The Halloween Update has brought back Type Soul on Roblox in a spectacular way, introducing new combat styles, weapons, and special missions themed for the spooky season. If you’re unfamiliar with the Type Soul Halloween Quest or need guidance on completing it, this article provides a comprehensive walkthrough outlining all necessary steps.
Initiating the Type Soul Halloween Quest
To initiate the Type Soul Halloween Quest, locate the newly introduced Mysterious Witch NPC in the newly updated section of Karakura Town.
Finding the Mysterious Witch NPC
You can spot her standing beside a trash bin and dressed in vibrant purple attire. If you’re playing on a PC, simply hit the Comma (,) key to unveil all NPC locations on your map, including the Mysterious Witch’s position. Use the displayed marker to guide you swiftly to her.
Upon encountering her, interact to embark on a quest focusing on vanquishing ghosts scattered across Hueco Mundo, Karakura Town, Soul Society, and Wanden.
Ghost Spawn Regions in Type Soul
Although ghosts can appear throughout various map locations, here are the most frequent areas to discover them in each zone.
- Karakura Town: Check out the Lonely Bridge vicinity on the outskirts, and they can also be found wandering the construction zone.
- Wanden: In this area, search the open ice expanse near the bridge; a few ghosts tend to roam there.
- Soul Society: You’ll find numerous ghosts around the mission board situated on the northern section, as depicted in the image above.
- Hueco Mundo: Ghosts are virtually everywhere on the Hueco Mundo map. Just respawn, and you’ll see spirits scattered across.
Defeating Ghosts in Type Soul
Ghosts are relatively easy opponents in Type Soul. Regardless of your character build, simply flank them and attack from behind. If they teleport, ensure you block the orbs they cast upon reappearing, and you should be fine.
After defeating a ghost, it may drop Ectoplasm. Collect this and return to the Mysterious Witch NPC, where you’ll earn 7 Soulian Points for completing the quest. Additionally, you can trade your Ectoplasm for points; for instance, exchanging 4 Ectoplasm nets you 4 Soulian Points. Use these points to obtain various Halloween-themed rewards or standard in-game items from the same NPC.
In essence, your goal is to farm Ectoplasm by defeating ghosts and trading them for Points to acquire exciting items from the shop.
Exclusive Type Soul Halloween Rewards and Items
Below are the brand-new Halloween 2024 rewards that players can redeem using points collected from the Mysterious Witch NPC.
- Witch Elixir (4 Points) – Use this elixir to randomly swap your character’s head with a Halloween pumpkin head.
- Halloween Cosmetic Box (30 Points) – Acquire an item with a Halloween theme.
- Ghastly Core (50 Points) – A special item required to summon the Ghoulossus Halloween Event Boss.
- Spookyfier (60 Points) – A mysterious item with an undisclosed use.
Defeating the Ghoulossus Halloween Event Boss in Type Soul
After acquiring the Ghastly Core item for 50 Points, you can summon the formidable Ghoulossus, King of the Dead. To do this, navigate to the Karakura Town Region and deploy the item at any location to bring the boss into the game. Given his toughness, I’ll outline strategies to counter his attacks during each stage to facilitate your victory.
- Phase 1: In the first phase, he only takes damage in his crystal state. Utilize basic strikes while in the non-crystal phase, and reserve your advanced moves for when he transforms into crystal form to maximize your damage.
- Phase 2: In this phase, the boss can heal himself if he successfully knocks down or grips any players. Maintain your mobility to evade hits or grips while waiting for his crystal transformation to attack, just as in the previous phase.
Over time, you’ll observe the boss’s health dwindling until his defeat. Upon vanquishing the boss, he will drop some Ectoplasm, which might feel underwhelming as a reward. Players hope the developers reconsider the loot for bosses to enhance the enjoyment of the event.
