Among the newest race types featured in Type Soul is the hybrid type. This branch allows players to sever their connections with their original faction in pursuit of unparalleled powers. If you’re considering this exciting avenue, this guide is tailored just for you.
How to Obtain the Hybrid Race in Type Soul
With the Halloween update already live, the Hybrid race type is still yet to be implemented into the core game. The developers have been engaging with the community on Discord regarding the preferences for the requirements to unlock the Hybrid race. After extensive discussions and feedback, the criteria have been officially established as follows:
- 40 Clan Wins, 100 Ranked Wins, or 50 Battle Royale Wins.
Meeting any one of the above requirements will qualify you for the Hybrid race in the game. We will revise this article with new details once the developers incorporate this feature and players start unlocking the Hybrid race.
Is the Hybrid Race Beneficial in Type Soul?
According to the patch notes, it appears that the Hybrid race may not be as advantageous, given its various limitations. Here’s a comprehensive list of the drawbacks:
- Inability to access or utilize the True form
- 20% drain on the submode
- 25% drain on the mode
- Cannot equip or utilize any Ultra Skills
- 10% debuff in Ranked PvP environments
Among these downsides, the 10% debuff in ranked PvP and the restriction on using True and Ultra Skills are particularly concerning, as they are critical for competitive fights. Consequently, this race type might not be very effective and may find more use in grinding through PVE missions.
Overview of Hybrid Race Types in Type Soul
