Unlocking Every Villager
Merlin
Merlin is among the first characters players encounter in Disney Dreamlight Valley, serving as a guide during the game’s onset.
To unlock him, simply enter Disney Dreamlight Valley and follow his questline, which also acts as a tutorial.
Mickey Mouse
The lovable Mickey Mouse, renowned as Disney’s face and part of The Sensational Six, is one of the initial characters you will encounter.
To locate him, just go to his house in the Plaza, where he will be eager to converse with you.
Minnie Mouse
Minnie Mouse, Mickey’s beloved partner, is known for her polka-dot dress and bow. She is also close friends with Daisy Duck and is a bit more challenging to unlock.
To bring Minnie Mouse into your Valley, you’ll need to increase your friendship level with Mickey to level eight. Once achieved, you can then initiate the ‘Memory Magnification’ quest to welcome her.
Scrooge McDuck
Scrooge McDuck, best recognized as Donald Duck’s wealthy uncle, is a prominent character in Duck Tales and is reputedly the richest duck globally.
Similar to Mickey, you can unlock Scrooge right from the onset of Disney Dreamlight Valley. You’ll find him at his derelict store, where he will assign you the task of its revival.
Goofy
Goofy is a cherished member of the Mickey Mouse & Friends ensemble and is likely one of the initial characters you’ll meet in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
To unlock Goofy, you must clear the Night Thorns to access the Peaceful Meadow biome. Goofy is situated there and will soon be available as a friend after his release.
Donald Duck
Donald Duck, Scrooge McDuck’s nephew, shares a strong bond with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy, and often indulges in rivalry with his uncle. Known for his short temper, he frequently throws fits around the Valley.
To unlock Donald, you need to find your way to the Forest of Valor. He is trapped in a mysterious portal, so it’s your mission to find him and bring him back to the Valley.
Daisy Duck
Unlocking Daisy Duck includes her boutique and home.
Daisy Duck is Minnie Mouse’s best friend and Donald Duck’s girlfriend, known for her vast fashion sense as the proprietor of Touch of Magic Boutique within Disney Dreamlight Valley, where players can engage in challenges and competitions.
Unlocking Daisy Duck is quite straightforward. First, you’ll need to unlock Vanellope von Schweetz and place the KL-1200 Valley Visit Station in your Valley. Soon after, you’ll receive a notification to talk to Mickey, who will inform you that Daisy has written to him, initiating the quest.
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit*
While people often associate Mickey Mouse with Disney, Oswald represents one of Disney’s classic characters. Introduced in 1927, Oswald is one of the oldest characters crafted by Walt Disney, becoming one of the most recognizable.
Unlocking Oswald the Lucky Rabbit requires dedication, as it involves a lengthy questline. Players must own the A Rift in Time expansion, as he’s only available on Eternity Isle. You’ll find Oswald in the Sunken Ruins during the Spark of Imagination storyline quest. Follow all his tasks to eventually unlock him.
Remy
Remy, a skilled chef, is responsible for the cooking mechanics in the game, from devising new recipes to enlisting players for his delivery service, which provides the valuable resource, Wrought Iron.
To unlock Remy, you must first access the main castle. Once in, go to his Realm door on the lower floor and spend 1,000 Dreamlight to unlock it. After entering his Realm, you should complete the tasks he assigns.
WALL-E
WALL-E, the adorable robot from the 2008 Disney film, is still the same charming character who won the hearts of many. To invite him into your Valley, players must enter his Realm, found within the main castle. Go to his door and use 3,000 Dreamlight to access the deserted area. Then, converse with WALL-E and finish his quests to bring him to your Valley.

After reaching level 10 with both characters, you can complete a quest with Ursula involving making dubious deals to secure Eric’s return.
Anna
This lively princess from the Frozen series brings her infectious energy to Disney Dreamlight Valley. She is among the simpler characters to unlock.
To invite Anna, players must unlock the Frozen Realm in the Dream Castle for 4,000 Dreamlight. After entering, locate Anna and complete her quest to introduce her to the Valley, reuniting her with Kristoff.
Elsa
Unlocking Anna paves the way for Elsa’s introduction shortly thereafter. The two sisters share a close bond in the films, despite some icy tensions along the way. Luckily, bringing Elsa to the Valley is relatively easy.
Follow Anna’s quest in the Frozen Realm, and keep an eye out for the Icy Invitation quest to unlock Elsa soon after.
Kristoff
Kristoff can be found in the Forest of Valor.
Kristoff is likely the first character from Frozen you’ll meet in Disney Dreamlight Valley. He is humorously situated in the Forest of Valor, fittingly reflecting his backstory.
To unlock Kristoff, you’ll need to reach the Forest of Valor biome, situated to the right of the Plaza. After entering, find Kristoff near a portal and complete his quest to bring him into the Valley.
Olaf
To meet Olaf, head to the Frosted Heights, where you’ll discover a secret cavern at the top of the biome.
Olaf has plenty of humor and mischief in store, complete his quests, and he’ll happily join the Valley.
Mother Gothel
No Disney game would be complete without iconic villains, and Mother Gothel is certainly one of them. From Tangled, where she ensnares Rapunzel for her own gain, she brings a unique charm.
To unlock Mother Gothel, enter the Glade of Trust biome, located left of the Peaceful Meadow on the map. Once inside, a huge tree will be visible, where she is imprisoned.

Belle
Belle, famed from Beauty and the Beast, is known for her sense of adventure and love for reading, caught between the affections of the self-absorbed Gaston and the Beast.
Unlocking Belle is relatively easy; she can be found in the Beauty and the Beast Realm. Simply approach the door adorned with the rose and pay 12,500 Dreamlight to gain entrance. Inside, find Belle and complete her quest.
Beast
Alongside Belle’s introduction, Beast also joins the Valley. This somewhat moody character constantly seeks Belle’s affection but can be challenging for some players to manage.
Unlocking Beast follows the same process: visit the Beauty and the Beast Realm, complete the quests inside, and you’ll have both characters at your side.

To unlock Gaston, travel to Eternity Isle and look for the Glittering Dunes. You should then begin ‘The Wanderer of the Dunes’ quest, which will lead you to meet Gaston. If you don’t trigger the quest right away, continue along the main storyline until it does.
Jack Skellington
The first and so far the only character from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack Skellington, contributes to enriching the Forgotten Lands and injecting sudden bursts of Halloween spirit.
As expected, unlocking Jack requires players to first enter the Forgotten Lands. After doing so, look for the quest “Something Comes A’Knocking.” Completing this quest will allow you to include Jack in your roster.
Rapunzel*
Known for her captivating tale, Rapunzel is from the Tangled universe and is characterized by her spirited personality and humor. Players can unlock her through the Eternity Isle expansion while advancing through the main storyline—it should be noted that she resides in the Wild Tangle.
Mike Wazowski
Although he’s often cropped out of pictures, Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc. is hard to ignore in Disney Dreamlight Valley. His comedic flair adds vibrancy to the game.
To invite Mike into your world, venture into the Monsters, Inc. Realm, which requires an expenditure of 15,000 Dreamlight to unlock. Upon your arrival, you’ll need to complete the quests assigned by both Mike and Sulley, and they will soon join your Valley.
Sulley
