This list includes weapons available up to Chapter 3. We will continue to update this with information on additional weapons and higher-grade versions shortly!
Is Purchasing Weapons from the Shop a Smart Move?

In general, it’s advisable to purchase only one next-grade weapon from the shop once they become available. While they offer increased DPS, the passives and quality (+1, +2, etc.) remain consistent and often inferior to what can be achieved through combat drops. Moreover, you’ll need funds for consumables and Battle Arts, so wisely allocate your gold.
Top Weapon Selections in Dynasty Warriors Origins

In DWO, as players progress through story missions and chapters, new weapons will unlock progressively. Several weapons may be inaccessible during specific stages, which is why we categorize the best options per chapter. Here’s our ranking of weapons at various gameplay stages in Dynasty Warriors Origins:
Chapter 1 (Early Game)
- Longsword: Balances speed and damage effectively, with impressive Battle Arts. Obtain Longsword EX early from the shop.
- Spear: Ideal for handling groups of enemies due to its great range and decent DPS.
- Gauntlets: While lacking range, they provide strong single-target damage.
Chapter 2 (Mid Game)
- Staff: Features remarkable attack speed and range, making it the optimal weapon choice for this chapter.
- Twin Pikes: Excellent range, perfect for tackling large enemy groups. Effective with a spammable Dodge + Light Attack combo.
- Longsword: Remains a solid weapon choice even during Chapter 2.
- Spear: Although overshadowed by Twin Pikes and Staff, it’s still a viable option.
- Wheels: They offer reasonable AoE but fall short in terms of DPS.
- Gauntlets: Still effective for one-on-one encounters, though the Staff generally outperforms them.
- Podao: This weapon’s slow attack speed can be frustrating, especially during specific training missions.
