Complete List of Confirmed Maps in Call of Duty Black Ops 6

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to debut with an extensive lineup of fresh multiplayer maps categorized into Core and Strike types.

Scheduled for release on October 25, 2024, Black Ops 6 takes a different direction than MW3, which offered only remastered maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009). Instead, this new installment will feature entirely original maps.

Treyarch has curated a diverse selection of maps that range in size from small to medium, employing classic three-lane designs synonymous with Call of Duty gameplay. Additionally, the introduction of the Omnimovement mechanic means these maps cater to novel gameplay dynamics.

Protocol unfolds within the leaked Avalon Warzone setting and originated as a training ground during the beta. It will transition into a fully-fledged 6v6 map upon launch. Expect plenty of frenzied close-quarters combat in areas like the armory, barracks, and underground bunker.

Directly lifted from the campaign, Payback thrusts players into Woods and his allies’ safe house nestled in the Bulgarian Mountains. Developers promise a map filled with “various elevations, windows, and tactical angles” throughout the former KGB Blacksite.

Skyline (6v6)

Skyline is often hailed as the standout map from the beta, taking place atop a swanky resort in Avalon. While much of the action unfolds at close range, players will need to keep an eye on the expansive pool area visible at the center of the map.

Crossing the pool can prove challenging, prompting players to either battle through the kitchen or sneak through the underground panic room for flanking opportunities.

Lowtown (6v6)

Set in a picturesque dockside community, possibly in Southern Europe, Lowtown allows for combat among the rubble and canals. Similar in gameplay to Warzone’s Vondel, players will engage in battles across water features and utilize an underground sewer system for surprise flanks.

Subsonic (6v6)

This smaller 6v6 map transports players to a war-torn bomber training facility, presumably located in Iraq. Here, a damaged F-117 subsonic aircraft lies abandoned outside, with another positioned within the primary hangar centered on the map.

Rewind (6v6)

Set in a vibrant soccer stadium, Red Card features chaotic confrontations in areas like the lobby, upstairs memorabilia displays, and the surrounding streets. Despite its ambiguous location, the predominance of French dialogue hints at it perhaps being situated in Southern France or Avalon.

Babylon (6v6)

One of the smallest offerings in the beta, Babylon became a topic of debate due to its haphazard spawn placements. Although it’s larger than high-stress maps like Shipment, the frantic pace offers immediate combat surroundings. Improvements to spawning are anticipated with the game’s debut, potentially altering public perception of this map.

Derelict (6v6)

Derelict showcases players fighting amongst rusting train cars in a graveyard set within the Appalachian mountains. A central tower offers ideal vantage points for long-range weapon users, while skilled players can leverage the Omnimovement feature to confound their adversaries with speedy submachine gun tactics.

Vorkuta (6v6)

Though not yet officially confirmed, Nuketown is expected to make its return to Black Ops 6 after the initial launch. There are indications of developers using the classic map during pre-release testing, suggesting its addition in the near future.

Following the game’s traditional pattern, Nuketown will likely arrive a few weeks post-launch, potentially as part of the pre-season or included in the Season 1 update.

Warhead (2v2, 6v6)

Gala unfolds following a shootout during a charity event, marked as the most open map of the Strike category in the beta. It presents long sightlines while interspersed with cover spots along the perimeter; the circular lounge serves as an advantageous position.

Pit (2v2, 6v6)

Set within a tightly-packed Russian mining tunnel, likely beneath Vorkuta, Pit emphasizes frenetic close-range battles inside a claustrophobic environment. Gunfights are always imminent, while mine carts and rocks can provide scarce cover in the narrow passageways.

Access to an upper level can also be attained via ladders from each spawn point, so players must constantly monitor the upper areas of the central chamber.
