Complete Overview of Map Changes in Deadlock’s Update on September 12

Deadlock’s September 12 patch has been released, introducing a significant number of map alterations. Here’s a comprehensive overview to keep you informed.

Launched unexpectedly by its developers, the latest Deadlock update brought major enhancements; including the discontinuation of timeslots for a continuous 24/7 matchmaking experience, the implementation of a new in-game reporting system, and numerous item and hero balance adjustments.

One of the most impactful changes in the update was to the map, featuring various introductions, removals, and new hidden pathways that players can explore throughout the environment.

Here are all the map modifications included in Deadlock’s September 12 update.

All map changes in Deadlock

Inner Lane Changes

The most significant update involved adding a veil near the lane shop, leading to a larger veil overlooking the inner lanes.

Connections have been established from the lane shop to the front of the Department Store and the New York Oracle buildings, offering views towards the opposing lane.

Now, openings facing the lane feature a veil that allows players to conceal themselves. Additionally, a wall has been erected in front of the opening.

The catwalk stairs in front of the Department Store and New York Oracle buildings were also repositioned closer to mid due to these adjustments.

These alterations are present in both inner lanes.

Base Changes

The next round of alterations pertains to the base.

The most notable change is the introduction of an overhang directly beneath the Patron, allowing players to take cover underneath or stand level with it on the overhang.

Moreover, two juke closets have been added facing the Patron. The connections of the walkway from the outer lane to the inner lane exits have also been angled.

Rope Changes

Modifications were also made to the Garage and Nightclub regarding access to the second floor and roof.

Players will now find ropes inside these buildings for accessing the second floor and roof, replacing the old stairwell. Exterior stairs remain available for players as well.

Rooftop Changes

The rooftop experienced the fewest alterations.

Both the Apothecary and Imports rooftops have been elevated to match the heights of the Record Store and Comedy Club located across from them.

Additionally, new rooftop details were introduced to the now-accessible roofs, while several existing details were eliminated.

And that encapsulates all the changes introduced in the September 12 update.
