In any classic RPG, selecting the right combat class is essential for a fulfilling adventure as an experienced Ace in Towerborne. If you’re uncertain about which class to choose, here’s a comprehensive guide to all classes in Towerborne, ranked for your convenience.
All Classes in Towerborne Ranked
Towerborne currently features four classes to play, with the possibility of additional classes appearing in future updates. This ranked list will be updated as new classes are introduced. The core mechanics of each class center around offensive physical damage, distinguished by their unique weapons and abilities.
Recognizing that approachability is a significant focus for Towerborne’s community, we ranked the four classes primarily based on how easy they are for players to learn and master.
Sentinel
The Sentinel class is the quintessential Paladin-type in Towerborne, wielding a sword and shield. This is the class that players begin with, making it one of the simplest classes to grasp quickly.
Described as “versatile” within the game, Sentinels balance offensive and defensive skills thanks to their shield. They are capable of blocking and parrying attacks, which builds Valor and enhances their offensive capabilities. Once players master their combos and ability timings, Sentinels become a reliable class that packs significant punch.
Rockbreaker
For sheer damage output, the Rockbreaker class takes the lead. While it lacks defensive abilities, its damage potential is so high that enemies should be more concerned about their own survival.
Functioning as a Monk-type class, Rockbreaker enables players to use oversized gauntlets, dealing heavy damage to groups of Gobos and bosses alike. It’s an engaging class that is nearly as simple to learn as the Sentinel.
Though the gauntlets may seem weighty, Rockbreaker excels with a combination of rapid strikes and sweeping attacks. Its most potent move, Powderkeg Punch, is particularly effective against high-HP bosses.
Shadowstriker
If you prefer a stealthier approach, the Shadowstriker class is ideal. This Rogue-type class favors dual daggers, emphasizing agility and quick, lethal strikes that can obliterate Gobos when executed well. It often employs poison-based skills, enhancing Shadowstriker’s impressive damage output.
This class demands a considerable skill level to master combo weaving and evading enemy attacks, as defense is not its strong suit. Solo play can be particularly challenging, so it’s advisable to gain experience with Towerborne’s combat system before committing to Shadowstriker.
Pyroclast
Among the classes in Towerborne, Pyroclast is one of the most distinctive and also the most challenging. This class wields a giant warclub that unleashes a range of fire-infused attacks.
When it comes to dealing relentless Burn damage to Gobos or bosses, Pyroclast excels. However, the cumbersome nature of the warclub can make attacks feel slower, and without proper handling, you may leave yourself vulnerable to enemy strikes, particularly against Gobos.
Like Shadowstriker, mastering Pyroclast requires practice, especially for solo play. Participating in group activities is highly recommended to gain experience and benefit from team support.
