Upon his return, Veltol aims to reclaim his throne and regain control over Alneath. Yet, he soon learns that Alneath has undergone significant changes in his absence. Machina reveals to him that during the past 500 years, Alneath merged with a planet called Earth due to an event known as Fantasion.

The early years of this new Alneath were filled with turmoil as civil wars plagued its inhabitants. However, over time, the people of Alneath and Earth sought to coexist peacefully.

The fusion of Alneath’s magic with Earth’s technology led to the evolution of a new discipline known as Magineering (Magic Engineering). The anime depicts the journey of Demon Lord Veltol as he attempts to navigate his identity in the futuristic landscape of Shinjuku in 2099.
