As you continue your journey in Black Myth: Wukong, you will come across several side quests. These quests usually require battling against formidable bosses and venturing into the enchanting landscapes of China. One of these quests involves the challenge of sobering up the Drunken Pig.
The Yellow-Robed Squire, also known as the Drunken Boar, is a character you will face and fight in Chapter 2 of Black Myth Wukong. Although some players may overlook this drunken character, engaging with the yellow-robed pig is vital as it initiates a complete quest.
1. How to complete the Drunken Pig quest in Black Myth Wukong?
In order to finish the Drunken Pig quest in Black Myth Wukong, players must adhere to the following steps-
- Talk to Drunken Pig near Rockrest Flat, Fright Cliff
- Find the Sobering Stone near Windrest Bridge
- Give the Sobering Stone to the Drunken Pig
- Find the Drunken Pig near Tiger Temple and give him Jade Lotus
- Defeat the Pig near Rockrest Flat
By successfully finishing the Drunken Pig quest, players will gain access to The Kingdom of Sahali, the Secret Area of Chapter 2.
Talking to Drunken Pig (Yellow-Robed Squire)
In order to begin the quest, you must make your way to the Rockrest Flat Shrine located at Flight Cliff. Upon teleporting to the shrine, continue along the direct path and pass between the two rocks. In the open area, you will find the Drunken Pig, also known as the Yellow-Robed Squire, sitting next to a large rock. Approach him and he will request that you retrieve the Sobering Stone.
II. Find the Sobering Stone near Windrest Bridge
To obtain the Sobering Stone, simply teleport to the Windrest Bridge shrine located in the Yellow Wind Formation. Once there, follow the path that is adjacent to the shrine and cross the bridge to enter the village. Be sure to remain vigilant for any potential enemies in the surrounding area.
Upon arriving in the village, turn left at the stairs. Continue running straight, then make a right turn and ascend another set of stairs. Once inside, you will find a small door in the left corner, where the Sobering Stone is located.
III. Give the Sobering Stone to the Drunken Pig
Once you have obtained the Sobering Stone, make your way back to the Drunken Pig and present him with the stone. Following some conversation, he will provide a hint for the next destination, the Crouching Temple Tiger.
IV. Find another Drunken Pig near Tiger Temple and give him Jade Lotus
Teleport to the entrance of the Crouching Temple Tiger and make a quick stop at the store in the Shrine to purchase the Jade Lotus. The item is reasonably priced, so if you do not already have it, it would be worth buying one.
Next, ascend the stairs to the temple and make a right turn. Once inside the alcove, you will find the drunken pig sitting there. Offer him a Jade Lotus to prompt him to move.
Defeat the Yellow-Robed Squire
To reach the Rockrest Flat Shrine, teleport there and make your way to the starting point of the quest. Instead of continuing straight ahead, turn right and you will encounter the pig known as the Yellow-Robed Squire. He will be waiting in front of an entrance and will challenge you to a fight. Defeating him is a simple task and will trigger a cutscene in which he will pass through a crack in the nearby large doors.
Pursue him, and you will find yourself in the Kingdom of Sahali. Within its borders, you will face the Tiger Vanguard and Fuban. After emerging victorious, return to the arena of the Yellow-Robed Squire to collect your well-deserved prizes: the Wind Tamer Vessel and the Sky-Piercing Horn Material.
