The Gunrunner quest is an engaging side mission in Star Wars Outlaws, where players must make crucial decisions regarding a weapons shipment.
Once players finish The Safecracker story mission and the Gunsmith quest, a call from the lone myrmitrix opens up a new chance to collaborate with the Ashiga Clan, subsequently activating the Gunrunner quest.
1. How to Complete The Gunrunner Quest
In Star Wars Outlaws, the Gunrunner Quest assigns Kay Vess a crucial task that will influence her relationships with two rival clans.
To begin, players need to infiltrate the Hutt District in Mos Eisley and locate a computer containing sales records to identify the weapons’ whereabouts. This information will allow you to track and collect the weapons for the Ashiga Clan.
The decision of whom to ultimately return the weapons to – either the Ashiga or the Hutts – will have a significant impact on your standing with both clans.
1. Starting the Quest
- Travel to Mos Eisley on Tatooine, taking the southern route for a quicker arrival.
- Find a building guarded by one Ashiga guard, where you’ll meet the Lone Myrmitrix.
- Engage in conversation, and she will assign you the task of stealing weapons from the Hutts for the Ashiga Clan.
2. Accessing the Sales Records
Method 1: Sneaking in (If you have a Poor Reputation with the Hutts)
- Enter the Hutt District using the unguarded southern entrance.
- Utilize Nix to deploy a ladder to ascend.
- Subdue the guards at the landing bay entrance without raising an alarm.
- Distract or eliminate the Gamorrean Guard near the locked door.
- Unlock the door, enter, and close it to access the sales records computer.
Method 2: Walking in (If you have a Good Reputation with the Hutts)
- Access the Hutt District via the northern entrance.
- Proceed inside the main building while sticking to the right wall.
- Enter the vent and exit left to find the sales records computer.
3. Locating the Weapon Cases
- Venture to the outskirts of Mos Eisley and pinpoint the large building. Ascend the shipment crate to jump over the wall for entry.
- Navigate through the hole in the wall, past debris and bodies, to discover empty weapon shipment cases.
- Upon interacting with the shipment, four Hutt Cartel Guards will arrive to inspect the area.
- You can stealthily eliminate them or use a nearby vent for a quick escape through the red door.
4. Tracking the Scent using Nix
- Follow Nix as he tracks the scent of the weapons. If he pauses or malfunctions, reload the last checkpoint to try again.
- When you reach the dewbacks, converse with the herder to proceed.
- At a dead end, two Stormtroopers will block the entrance. Have Nix activate the lever above them to unlock a side door, allowing you to evade them.
5. Claiming the Weapon Shipment
- Eventually, you’ll arrive at the Landing Bay, where Zerek Besh agents are loading weapons onto their ship.
- This area is secured, making it difficult to engage in combat without planning.
- Start by moving counter-clockwise around the bay, avoiding enemies until you reach the Z-6 Rotary Cannons. Note that utilizing these requires heavy weapons training from the Mercenary Expert.
- Stealth becomes impractical here, so launch an all-out attack while using barrels as cover.
- Once you secure the area, take possession of the weapons shipment and decide your next move.
6. Final Decision
Return the shipment to the Hutts | Give the shipment to the Ashiga |
Earn a reputation with the Hutts but lose it with the Ashiga. | Gain a reputation with the Ashiga but lose it with the Hutts. |
Your decision will conclude the quest and significantly affect your interactions with both factions.
Keep in mind that your reputation with different factions will shape your future endeavors, so make your choices carefully. May the Force be with you as you keep exploring the galaxy!
