In the gripping quest known as Night of the Cult in Escape from Tarkov, players must confront one of the game’s most formidable foes: the cultists. This quest marks the beginning of a series of tasks requiring the elimination of these eerie adversaries. Although locating the cultists tends to be simpler during the Halloween event, the challenge intensifies as many players rush to defeat them concurrently.
How to Successfully Complete the Night of the Cult Quest in Escape from Tarkov
To successfully complete the Night of the Cult quest, you need to accomplish the following task:
- Eliminate 5 hooded cultists
The term “hooded cultists”refers to any members of the cult, specifically those affiliated with the Priest or Harbinger bosses. Each of these bosses is accompanied by 2-4 additional cultists, which simplifies the quest objective, provided you can find the cultists before others do and eliminate them within the same raid.
Cultists can appear on various maps in Escape from Tarkov, with their spawn rates notably increasing during the Halloween event. However, there exists one particular area that greatly facilitates the completion of this quest.
In the residential zone (Zmejskij alley block) on the Streets of Tarkov map, there is a guaranteed 100% chance for Cultist Priests (Zhrets) to spawn. When they manifest, each Priest will be accompanied by 2-4 Sektant Warriors, who also fit the “hooded night people” category.
This scenario presents a significant opportunity to complete the objective within a single raid, as defeating the Priest alongside four Warriors will fulfill the quest requirements. However, this endeavor can be particularly challenging due to the potential presence of other players vying for the same targets.
While Streets of Tarkov guarantees a cultist spawn, there are other maps that offer around a 50% chance for these enemies to appear. You can maximize your progress by tackling additional quests simultaneously. If you queue for a raid between 22:00 and 7:00, the cultists are more likely to spawn, allowing you to also pursue quests like Reconnaissance, which is conveniently close to the cultists’ spawn points in Lighthouse.
