This year’s Fortnitemares features a collaboration with the Saw franchise. When you think of Saw, you likely picture the ghastly traps from the films. Surprisingly, Fortnite has also introduced a similar concept, known as Jigsaw’s Challenge.
This time, instead of a reverse bear trap, players will don a Cuddle Team Leader costume head. This challenge is definitely not for the squeamish, but the potential rewards make it worthwhile.
Understanding Jigsaw’s Challenge in Fortnite
In Jigsaw’s Challenge, you’ll face off against another player who has also accepted the challenge, with a limited timeframe to act. Your goal is to eliminate your opponent before the timer runs out.
If neither player is successful in scoring a kill within the time limit, both will perish due to the ‘trap’ placed upon them. However, if you emerge victorious, you’ll be freed from the trap and rewarded for your efforts.
Locations of TV Monitors for Jigsaw’s Challenge
Completing the Jigsaw Challenge grants you several prizes, including Boom Billy.
To kick off Jigsaw’s Challenge, you must locate a TV monitor, typically found in various Points of Interest (POIs). They are relatively easy to identify and can often be seen in the following locations:
- The Underworld
- Restored Reels
- Nitrodome
- Grim’s Gate
- Freaky Fields
Once you find a monitor, simply press the interact button. After that, you’ll need to wait until another player interacts with a TV somewhere on the island.
Successfully Completing Jigsaw’s Challenge
If you locate another player, your character will be adorned with a Cuddle Team Leader costume head that serves as a trap. Now, your objective is to eliminate this player within five minutes.
The yellow circle indicates the position of your adversary.
Their position will be highlighted on the map with a yellow circle, helping you determine their location. They can also see where you are located.
At this point, the task at hand is fairly straightforward. Both players must track each other down to avoid succumbing to the trap.
If you suspect your opponent is in the vicinity, you can patiently wait for them to make a mistake before surprising them with a Chainsaw, if you possess one.
Rewards for Jigsaw’s Challenge
Ultimately, if you manage to defeat your opponent, you’ll receive the following rewards:
- Three Boom Billy
- Monarch Pistol
- Gatekeeper Shotgun
- Three Chug Splash
- One Witch Broom
The Witch Broom is a beneficial asset, especially now that the jetpack has been removed. Additionally, picking up Boom Billy is advantageous for intimidating foes or applying pressure to prevent them from attacking you.
