Following the prologue in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, players will find themselves at the Lighthouse, which acts as the main base of operations. The first mission initiates in this location, where a note affixed to a door in the library reads, “Three meetings, face-to-face, under the sky.” This serves as your initial clue for the Lighthouse mission.
Solving the Lighthouse Statues Puzzle
Statue Pair #1
Start by leaving the library and proceeding to the workshop area outside. Look for the winding staircase that leads upwards. At the top, you will encounter the first statue.
Next to the statue, you’ll find another note indicating, “To enter the library passage, three pairings must meet face-to-face.” Your task is to arrange three pairs of statues so they face each other. Rotate the statue using the lever at its base until it is oriented east toward the dining hall.
Looking in that direction will reveal the next statue in the dining hall. Turn right, adjust this statue to ensure it points directly at the first statue.
Statue Pair #2
From the dining hall, move north toward Neve’s study. There’s no need to enter the room; instead, look for a staircase to the right of the entrance. A nearby passage leads down to the location of the next statue.
Once at the second statue, turn it so it faces west. In that direction, you’ll spot the other statue in this pair, located just behind Belara’s workshop. Navigate around the left side of the building, and make sure the statue is pointing east.
Statue Pair #3
For the final statue pair, return inside the Lighthouse, targeting the library. Ascend the stairs to reach the first statue. Avoid any detours until you are just above the library entrance, where you will find the last two statues. Simply position these statues to face one another.
With all statues accurately aligned, it’s time to proceed with additional objectives.
Unlocking the Library Portal
Return to the library where the door on the north wall is now accessible. Step through to find yourself in the music room.
Within the music room, a locked door on the left requires two wisps to access. The first wisp can be located near the piano. Collect it and position it on one of the pedestals by the door.
This action will summon the Caretaker, who will provide your next clue, stating, “Another helper waits, between the facing gods.”
To find the second wisp, return to the last pair of statues.
Retrieve it and place it at the library door to unlock the portal.
After entering the portal, you’ll find yourself on a balcony above the library, a previously inaccessible area.
Collect the wisp from the balcony and place it on the opposing pedestal by the portal. This will generate a new portal.
Before you teleport, make sure to activate the device in the corner. This will rejuvenate the astrolabe and apply discounts on upgrades.
Accessing the Second Locked Door
Once through the second portal, you’ll arrive at a balcony above the watchtower, complete with a treasure chest. Open it to obtain the floating crystal and place it on the nearby device.
Utilize this device to direct the beam towards the three floating crystals situated over the domes, releasing the wisps.
After completing this task, return to the library where the second door is now unlocked. Step through it to advance further in the mission.
While this puzzle doesn’t yield exemplary rewards, it does offer various items to collect during gameplay. Players can look forward to other quests that promise greater bounties!
