The Todoroki family drama comes to a close in My Hero Academia Chapter 426, which is the third and final chapter of the manga’s epilogue.
With each new chapter, My Hero Academia is steadily approaching its manga’s conclusion and taking care of any unresolved matters. Recently, after providing readers with updates on the students of U.A., Chapter 426 delves into the ongoing Todoroki family conflict.
The previous chapter hinted at Dabi’s survival, and the latest chapter confirms it. Although the defeated villain is on the brink of death, he is comforted by his family who are finally ready to address their pent-up resentment and trauma.
Endeavor is filled with regret for his past wrongdoings towards his family and for his involvement in Dabi’s existence. He is now determined to make amends and decides to step down from his duties in order to be with his oldest son during his final moments. However, Dabi (also known as Toya) is still consumed by anger and confronts his father for arriving too late.
Despite his harsh language, it is evident that he deeply desires his father’s attention. Rei and Fuyumi also desire to speak with him. Despite the wrongdoings of their rebellious son and brother, they are prepared to forgive him and aid in his emotional healing.

Despite his brother’s intense hatred, Shoto is eventually able to connect with him. As they prepare to leave the facility, Shoto takes a chance and asks Dabi about his favorite food. When he discovers that they both share a love for soba, Shoto responds with a simple “Same.”This simple moment causes Dabi to break down in tears and apologize to Shoto.
Towards the end, Natsuo makes an appearance… kind of. Although he still has no desire to see his father or introduce him to his girlfriend, he subtly implies that he no longer harbors as much hate towards Endeavor. The conclusion may not be entirely joyful, but it is understandable considering the events that have transpired.
Fans have been expressing their emotions about the resolution of the long-standing feud within the Todoroki family and have also applauded the writing of the manga. One user shared their thoughts on X/Twitter, stating, “Hori did an amazing job crafting the Todoroki family subplot from start to finish. Bravo!”
One person commented, “Endeavor may have made mistakes, but I will always admire him for trying to make amends and confronting his past,”while another joined in, “Horikoshi handled the Todoroki family and Endeavor’s character development with great sensitivity. He did a great job.”
The highly-anticipated resolution of the Todoroki family conflict was expertly delivered in My Hero Academia Chapter 426, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what will come next before the final manga chapter on August 5.
