Copies of Concord are being resold for ten times its original retail price as PlayStation discontinues their live service game after only two weeks of its release.
On September 4, the Game Director at Firewalk Studios announced that Concord will be taken offline due to the game’s disappointing launch.
The hero shooter reached its highest player count of 2,388 during its open beta on Steam. However, upon its full launch on August 23, it only managed to attract 700 players. The game’s release was met with disappointment, resulting in all players being offered refunds while the developers work on revitalizing the game.
As the game nears its end, those who own physical copies are seeking to sell their discs online, with some prices already reaching $400 AUD (equivalent to $269 USD).
Upon its initial release a few weeks ago, Concord was priced at $40 USD. While not as expensive as a AAA game, it is still considered expensive for a live service game in a time where many titles are available for free.
With the game currently offline and possibly undergoing a relaunch in a different format, physical copies of the original game are being sold for prices as high as $150 USD or more, depending on their condition and whether they are still in their original packaging.
Upon its initial release, a special edition Concord DualSense controller was available for purchase at a retail price of $85 USD. However, these controllers are currently being resold for prices exceeding $500 USD.
There are numerous sellers who are overly eager to sell their copies at a price of $500 USD. For example, one seller on eBay has listed the game for

If you did not purchase a physical copy during the initial release, it is no longer possible to obtain one. Concord has been removed from all retailers, including popular digital platforms like Steam, Epic Games, and the PlayStation Store.
Even as the game nears its end, only those who have purchased a copy will have the chance to play. If you’re eager to be a part of it but don’t already have a copy, you may have to pay for one.
