The account cautions against immediately believing the information, as there is a possibility of miscommunication. However, the source seems confident and shares that the information was brought up while filming a flashback scene with Patty, which they hope will be included in the final cut for both seasons.
Currently, filming for One Piece Season 2 is set to begin this month, June 2024. While only one season has been officially confirmed, there is a possibility that it may be split into two parts, which is what Mayweather is alluding to.
It is a typical release approach for Netflix to release shows in batches. Cobra Kai, Stranger Things, Emily in Paris, The Witcher, and other shows have all followed this pattern at some point, so it is likely that One Piece will also do the same.
