On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the official X account for Mag Garden’s Magcomi platform announced the decision to produce the A History of the Romelia anime. However, specific details about the release date, cast, staff, or production studio have not yet been disclosed.
This upcoming anime will be an adaptation of Ryo Ariyama’s light novel series titled A History of the Romelia: Even After Defeating the Demon King, Humanity Seemed to Be in Trouble So We Organized an Army, with illustrations by Kodama.
The series was initially launched as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website before Shogakukan acquired the rights to publish it as a light novel under the Gagaga Bunko imprint. The manga adaptation, illustrated by Kamito, is serialized on Mag Garden’s MagComi platform.

Additionally, the Mag Comi platform released the fourth volume of the manga adaptation, illustrated by Ryo Kamito, on September 10, 2024. The fifth volume of the light novel is scheduled for release on September 18, 2024, as confirmed by Kamito-san on their official X account (@kamito_ryo).
To celebrate the adaptation of A History of the Romelia anime, Mag Garden is hosting a giveaway campaign where five winners will be selected via lottery to receive signed copies of both the original light novel and the manga adaptation. Notably, Ryo Ariyama’s light novel series has over 400,000 copies in circulation.
The plot of A History of the Romelia anime
The story follows Countess Romelia, who faces rejection from her fiancé, Prince Henri, after defeating the Demon King. Instead of succumbing to despair, Romelia returns to her homeland and takes a stand against the remnants of the Demon King’s forces, striving to bring true peace to her country.
