Conor McGregor will finally make his comeback to the octagon at UFC 303 in Las Vegas as the main event, where he will face off against Michael Chandler.
This will be McGregor’s first return to the UFC after suffering a leg injury in a loss to Dustin Poirier earlier in 2021. Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of ‘Mystic Mac’ and his current condition.
Prior to the competition, we thoroughly examined McGregor’s complete UFC fight history and his unforgettable bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the boxing ring.
Conor McGregor’s MMA Record
Throughout his time in Cage Warriors and the UFC, McGregor has accumulated a record of 22 wins and 6 defeats, bringing his total MMA record to 22-6-0.
Ever since his debut in UFC in 2013, McGregor has competed in 14 fights, maintaining a record of 10 wins and 4 losses.
With titles in both Cage Warriors and the UFC, this fighter has become an icon of his generation. He was the first to hold two belts at once in the UFC, and his impressive list of fights is filled with unforgettable moments.
Despite a quick ascent in the UFC, his star continued to rise as he dominated with a 5-0 record in his UFC debut. Proving his potential, he defeated Chad Mendes and became the interim featherweight champion, earning a chance to challenge Jose Aldo in a legendary fight that will forever be remembered in the UFC’s history.
Despite the Brazilian’s unbeaten record spanning over a decade, the fight between the two ended abruptly in just 13 seconds as the Irishman achieved the quickest knockout in a UFC title match.
A powerful counter-punch caused Aldo to fall to the floor, and McGregor solidified his victory with a series of savage hammerfists, solidifying his status as a superstar in a monumental moment for the sport.
Following his statement win over Aldo, McGregor’s next opponent was Nate Diaz. Fans were shocked when he suffered his first UFC defeat, a result that was unexpected by many.
The fight between Rafael dos Anjos and Conor McGregor was scheduled for UFC 196, but unfortunately, dos Anjos had to withdraw due to an injury just 12 days before the event. This meant that McGregor’s opportunity to challenge for the lightweight title was delayed.
Diaz successfully made the transition from featherweight to welterweight, gaining 25 pounds from 155 to 170. In the second round, he forced McGregor into submission, ultimately securing the win.
“After the fight, he shared on social media, “I went all in and took a chance. It didn’t work out in my favor, but I have no regrets. I will never apologize for taking a risk and I will handle this defeat with dignity. I refuse to hide from it or alter who I am. If any other champion decides to move up in weight, I am ready for the challenge.”
After eight months, he sought to get even with the American and they faced each other once more at UFC 246.
In the beginning of the fight, McGregor performed strongly, causing Diaz to fall multiple times within the first few rounds. However, in the third round, his opponent gained momentum and landed a series of punches that put McGregor in a tough position as the fight seemed to be slipping away from him.
Despite Diaz’s relentless attack, McGregor was able to make a stunning comeback and regain control of the fight. In the end, after five intense rounds, he was awarded the majority decision by the judges.
Following his retaliation against Diaz, McGregor proceeded to face Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, making history as the first fighter to simultaneously hold two UFC titles.
The former 28-year-old fighter successfully added the lightweight title to his existing featherweight belt, as he delivered a knockout blow to Alvarez in the second round.
In the debut of UFC at Madison Square Gardens in New York, McGregor achieved victory by knocking his opponent down three times within the first round and securing the win just three minutes into the second round.
McGregor’s next fight would not take place for almost two years, when he faced off against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Many viewed the fight as a significant shift in power, but the chaos and unsightly events that occurred afterward overshadowed the evening.
Following his victory over McGregor in the fourth round via Rear Naked Choke, Khabib sparked a brawl as he left the octagon and assaulted Dillon Danis, who was training with McGregor at the time.
The atmosphere inside the arena was chaotic as various objects were being thrown. Dana White expressed feeling sick after witnessing the chaos.
Despite his victory against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246, McGregor’s most recent bouts have resulted in losses to Dustin Poirier, with both fights ending in defeat.
The duo first fought in the UFC in 2014, and then had a rematch in both January and July of 2021.
Despite McGregor’s win a decade ago, Poirier now holds the upper hand in their rivalry with back-to-back victories over the Irishman.
The most memorable fight turned out to be McGregor’s final one inside the octagon, as Poirier achieved victory when the 35-year-old suffered a broken leg in the first round.

Conor McGregor’s Boxing Record
Despite his notable success in other sports, McGregor’s boxing record stands at 0-1, having lost his only fight in the sport to Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The 2017 match gained global recognition as it featured one of the UFC’s most legendary figures facing off against a five-time world champion in order to maintain an undefeated 50-0 record.
The Irishman, enticed by a $300 million pay day, came out of retirement to face Mayweather and managed to last 10 rounds before the referee intervened, much to McGregor’s belief that it may have been premature.
Upon reflection, he expressed his belief that the stoppage was premature and that he was merely experiencing some fatigue.
Despite his belief that he had to work hard for the sake of the sport, Mayweather was surprised by the level of effort required to secure the win.
“The American remarked, “He was much better than I anticipated.”However, I proved to be the superior fighter. I had promised everyone that this match would not go the distance. The reputation of boxing was at stake.”
