Conor McGregor’s UFC 303 Dublin Press Conference Postponed on Day of Event

The UFC 303 press conference in Dublin for the highly anticipated match between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler has been delayed, only 12 hours before its scheduled start time.

Unfortunately, McGregor’s plans to address the press and audience in Dublin, Ireland at the 3Arena have been cancelled before he could promote the fight in his native land.

An official statement released by the UFC stated: “To all our loyal UFC fans, we regret to inform you that the #UFC303 press conference, originally scheduled for Monday June 3rd at Dublin’s 3Arena in Ireland, has been postponed until further notice.”

“We extend our sincere apologies to all the fans who had made plans to attend. As soon as we have an update on a rescheduled date and time, we will promptly communicate it. Thank you for your understanding.”

It has not been officially stated why the postponement occurred, but fans, particularly those who have made the journey for the event, have expressed disappointment with the late notice provided.

The press conference, which was scheduled for 12pm ET (5pm BST), was postponed with only 12 hours’ notice given.

Despite not having stepped into the octagon since his loss to perennial foe Dustin Poirier in 2021, 35-year-old McGregor has been spotted celebrating just weeks before his upcoming headline fight on Saturday, June 29.

The main event for UFC 303 in Las Vegas, at the T-Mobile Arena (with a capacity of 20,000), will see him face off against Chandler, concluding International Fight Week.

The card suffered a significant blow when the co-main event between Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr was postponed due to Rountree Jr’s positive test for a prohibited substance.

Carlos Ulberg has been brought on to assist in filling the card, replacing Rountree.
