Content Creator’s Unique Mountain Dew Wine Goes Viral

A man’s process of turning Mountain Dew into wine has gone viral on TikTok after he documented it online and shared it with others.

Charles Biolo, known as ‘goldenhivemead’ on TikTok, has devoted his profile to creating unique and unconventional mead and wine concoctions.

From experimenting with blueberry pancake mead to creating Dr. Pepper wine, Biolo isn’t afraid to push the boundaries and try unique flavors. His newest creation, Mountain Dew wine, is no exception.

Biolo, with his 1.3 million followers, demonstrates how to make your own wine using only a few ingredients. Follow his recipe of Mountain Dew, honey, and yeast to create your own batch.

Biolo shared the complete recipe, revealing that he combined the three ingredients in a large jar and allowed the mixture to ferment for a couple of weeks. To counteract the preservatives present in the soda, Biolo opted to raise the pH slightly by incorporating a small amount of baking soda.

Biolo couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the fermentation process continue the very next day. He decided to let it continue for an additional four weeks before using a clarifier to speed up the process.

After a few more weeks, Biolo confirmed that the wine had completed its fermentation process and had an estimated alcohol content of 13.9%, making it suitable for consumption.

“Although I was surprised, I found that this did not taste entirely like battery acid. Instead, it had a smooth, citrusy flavor with a slight hint of chemicals. To be honest, I was expecting it to be much worse. I see this as a huge success.”

As Biolo had many wild ideas for alcohol experimentation, Mountain Dew wine was just one of them. He assured viewers that there would be more unconventional beverages to come in the near future.

Numerous individuals have already suggested their own unique flavor concepts in the comments, including Cherry Vanilla Coke, pickle juice, and Strawberry Fanta. However, I personally have my fingers crossed for a recipe that will teach us how to concoct redbull wine for those early mornings when an additional boost of energy is needed.
