After 18 months of serving as an assistant instructor at the 5th Infantry Division’s training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, he was discharged on June 12th. This makes him the first BTS member to complete his mandatory military service.
Jin joined ARMYs (fandom) at the Jamsil Arena in Seoul on June 13th for the “2024 FESTA” event. This special occasion, held to commemorate BTS’s debut, included a special hugging session where Jin lovingly embraced 1,000 fans. Despite the overall positive vibe, a few moments during the hug event caused controversy.
In numerous videos and photos shared online, a fan can be seen getting uncomfortably close to Jin, giving the impression that she may attempt to kiss him. This sparked anger among netizens, who believed that the fan had crossed boundaries and made Jin feel uneasy. This incident served as a reminder of the significance of respecting personal boundaries, even in enthusiastic fan interactions.
