A group of Palworld fans argue that avoiding the use of flying mounts creates a much more immersive and exploratory experience.

Palworld offers players the ability to use winged Pals to fly around the world to quickly navigate to different areas.

This has quickly become a common practice for many whenever they can, in order to do what they want in a short time.

New Palworld updates continue to arrive every week.

However, some fans claim that relying on flying mounts reduces immersion in the game and restricts exploration.

Palworld fans think flying mounts diminish the gaming experience

A post on the Palworld subreddit hosts this conversation, where a player argues: “You should try playing the game without a flying mount.”

It goes on to say, “Use Eikthyrdeer, Rayhound, use a Water Pal to swim through water which almost everyone abandons, use grappling hook, etc., but once you reach level 15, resist the want to make this Nitewing saddle. Even if you optimize this like me and raise a Fenglope to maximum speed, I promise you that you will still see so many things of the world that you missed before.”

Other users have joined the comments to agree with this idea, while another person is already in the middle of a game like this.

“It takes a little more navigation but you get to see the whole map instead of just your objectives.”

Another person thinks the flying mechanic is “too powerful” and that once a flying mount can be captured “you’re literally skipping the game.”

However, not everyone in the Palworld base is on board with this idea, as one user argues: “Honestly, it’s not finished enough to walk the whole thing.”

He mentions how the world is largely empty in later areas, making the whole thing “repetitive” and like it’s “not alive enough.”

Other players mention that players on Xbox (whose version is more unstable than Steam) have a much higher risk of falling through the map, making flying a necessity for survival.

“As an Xbox gamer, this is a recipe for falling through the floor to my doom.”

While staying on the ground brings a whole new experience for many players, it seems others don’t have this option or desire.
