Controversy over Disney Fans’ Claim About Tinkerbell Intro Gaslighting

The latest Disney Mandala Effect has resurfaced, and fans are still just as divided over it as before.

User HazelApplyard shared a post on X/Twitter expressing their disbelief in a commonly known Mandela Effect. This pertains to the memory of fans who remember Tinkerbell dotting the “I”in the iconic Walt Disney Pictures logo.

Appleyard stated in her post, “I am convinced that this definitely happened and no one can change my mind.”

Many commenters are expressing similar reactions, although a majority seem to have vague recollections of it at most.

One user confirmed, “This definitely happened. Even though it wasn’t specifically the ‘i’ that was dotted, she did fly around and use her wand to touch something, resulting in a burst of stars.”

“According to another user , this was a well-known fact for any GenX kid who had a TV at home.

Naturally, their recollections are all incorrect. The event did not occur as they recall and serves as yet another illustration of the Mandela Effect phenomenon.

The Mandela Effect refers to a phenomenon in which individuals collectively recall an event or detail from the past incorrectly. It is named after the late Nelson Mandela, who is commonly believed to have died while imprisoned in the 1980s.

Despite being imprisoned, Mandela did not pass away while in prison. He was eventually freed and went on to serve as President of South Africa, passing away in 2013 at the age of 95.

It has long been established by Internet sleuths that this is a situation where individuals have misremembered what they observed. The initial version of the Walt Disney Pictures intro did not include Tinkerbell.

Despite this, there were a few intros that came after, such as the one for The Wonderful World of Disney that was shown on TV or the title stinger that was featured on certain Disney DVDs in the 2000s.

Despite being a misconception that has been heavily discussed in the past and will likely continue to be debated, it is ultimately a result of fans mixing up their Disney intros. Unfortunately, this can be disappointing for fans.
