Controversy Surrounding Craziest Pokemon Go Shiny Haul Leaves Players Skeptical of Legitimacy

An incredible catch of Shnundos has caused Pokemon Go players to doubt the authenticity of the exceptionally fortunate streak.

The user, who caught six Shinies with zero IVs on the same day, questioned their good luck in a Reddit post and wondered if it was due to an ongoing event.

All of the catches, except for one Shiny Nidoran, were regional variants such as Alolan Diglett and Meowth, as well as two Galarian Zigzagoon and Galarian Meowth.

The creator of the thread continued, saying, “I managed to catch all of these Pokemon today, which is usually considered to be quite rare. Is there currently a special event causing this to occur?”

Upon realizing the extremely unusual event of catching numerous Shnundos within a brief timeframe, a player calculated the odds. “Honestly, this is one of the most mind-boggling things I have witnessed. The chances of 1/262k for each regional and 1/2 million for Nidoran, all in a single day, are astounding.”

“Another person exclaimed that this would actually be the rarest sequence of events in human history. They requested the owner to double-check the IVs after restarting the game.”

The author of the thread did include screenshots of their ‘mon’s IVs, which confirmed that all Shnundos did indeed have a perfect IV of zero. However, this evidence did little to alleviate suspicions.

Shiny Galarian Zigzagoon was among the haul of Shnundos.

According to one skeptic, the odds of encountering each of these Pokémon is 1 in 262,000, while the chance of encountering a Nidoran is 1 in 2,000,000. The likelihood of all of these encounters happening in one day is so low that it is highly improbable and suggests that the OP may be lying or using cheating methods like a scanner.

One user expressed their belief that the object was either a map or scanner, and their doubt that it was a legitimate tool. Others also proposed that the statistical anomaly may have been caused by a bug rather than intentional cheating. This theory was supported by another user, who deemed it the most plausible explanation.

The owner of the collection announced their intention to post a video in order to refute accusations of cheating. However, as of now, the promised video has not been uploaded.
