Despite years of exchanging words and being labeled as long-time rivals, YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul and KSI have yet to face each other in the ring, prompting criticism from fans.
The conflict between KSI and Jake Paul reignited following the delay of ‘The Problem Child’s’ match with boxing legend Mike Tyson due to a health concern raised by ‘Iron Mike.’
They exchanged two shots at each other during an online argument over the terms of their upcoming physical confrontation in the ring.
In a June 3 MMA hour podcast, Ariel Helwani reiterated his stance that the fight between the two YouTube stars should be their top priority. He criticized them for not yet arranging their highly anticipated clash.
In August of last year, before the Nate [Diaz] fight, I expressed my disappointment in the failure to make this fight happen,”he stated. “Both parties and all individuals involved must come together and find a solution. It’s ironic that these two giants cannot resolve it while everyone else seems to be able to?”
Helwani urged, “Let’s be serious, guys. This is the fight. It’s common knowledge. And it’s been dragging on for far too long. What’s the delay?”
Fans have waited for KSI and Jake Paul to face off since 2018.
Their own fans are eager to witness the two clash, as they have harshly criticized both internet stars for not finalizing the fight and signing the contract.
The origins of their beef trace back to 2018, when KSI challenged both Paul brothers to a fight after defeating Joe Weller.
Logan Paul was the one who accepted the challenge, while Jake touched gloves with Deji, KSI’s younger brother. ‘The Problem Child’ emerged victorious against Deji, while KSI and Logan had a rematch a year later, with the British YouTuber coming out as the winner.
Despite the passage of several years, the ultimate confrontation between the two has yet to occur. However, it appears that we are approaching the long-awaited moment when they will finally collide.
