The proposed fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has been heavily criticized as a “fraud”and should not proceed due to Tyson’s widely publicized health concerns.
According to former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping, Paul, who holds a record of 9-1, has made a poor decision by choosing to face 57-year-old Tyson as his next opponent. Bisping has criticized Paul, labeling him as “embarrassing”for “cherry picking”his opponent.
Despite facing much criticism, the fight between Paul and Tyson is still scheduled to take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday, July 20. However, at more than 30 years his senior, “Iron Mike”has raised concerns about his ability to compete.
Despite being one of the most ferocious world heavyweight champions in the history of the sport during his prime, Tyson’s recent fight has faced criticism from the boxing public due to his lack of professional fights since 2005.
Critics of the match were further emboldened earlier this week when Tyson fell ill during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday evening.
Tyson became dizzy due to a mouth ulcer, resulting in paramedics needing to treat him upon the plane’s arrival at LAX.
Bisping believes that the fight between Tyson and Paul will still take place, as Tyson has confirmed. However, he also expressed his opinion that it may not be the best decision just weeks before the scheduled fight.
“According to Bisping on his YouTube channel, Mike Tyson experienced a medical emergency.”
The sudden need for paramedics to board the plane and doctors to attend to Mike Tyson does not bode well. Such negative attention is not ideal when promoting a fight between a 58-year-old and anyone. This incident only reinforces the reasons why this fight should not be happening.
“Perhaps it was an ulcer flare-up, although I am not knowledgeable on the subject. What I do know is that the man is only 58 years old and should be in the prime of his life. It seems unlikely that he would have a problem sitting on a plane for a few hours.”
“I am not criticizing Mike Tyson; he is simply looking to explore new opportunities, earn a living, and stay in touch with his passion. He is determined to showcase his skills and excel in his craft.”
“However, that moment has elapsed, that opportunity has been missed, and that chance has flown away – at least for the time being, as the plane was delayed due to the heat and Mike Tyson’s ulcer flare-up.”
Now feeling 100% even though I don’t need to be to beat Jake Paul.

It appears that the man, who is likely close to 60 years old, is dealing with some medical issues. It is possible that he experienced food poisoning or consumed something that did not sit well with him. However, what is certain is that he was escorted off the plane by paramedics and they requested medical help. This is not a favorable situation.
It is disgraceful and shameful that Jake Paul, in the prime of his life, is once again carefully selecting an opponent to improve his record and inflate his ego. This behavior is nothing short of a farce and should not be tolerated.
In the event that Tyson is unable to compete in the ring, there are already numerous fighters vying for the opportunity to take his place. Ryan Garcia has expressed interest in filling in for “Iron Mike”, and UFC Hall of Famer Chael Sonnen has declared himself as the backup fighter in case Tyson is unable to participate.
Additionally, this is not the first instance of Paul facing accusations of deliberately choosing weaker opponents. Johnny Nelson, a former cruiserweight champion, recently criticized the YouTuber-turned-boxer by stating that ‘The Problem Child’ has been strategically selecting easier opponents throughout his career.
