Amid the idol’s comeback promotion, Han Seohee is facing backlash for attempting to set up RIIZE Wonbin.
On June 17, there was a strong backlash from internet users towards Han Seohee, a well-known former idol trainee and insider, for her attempt to “ruin”Wonbin’s reputation during the release of their new album.
Recently, a netizen used the “Ask Me Anything”feature on Instagram to inquire whether she has any information about Wonbin.
Han claimed that he had a photo of the idol to back up his statement.
“Wonbinnie went to the hun-po? She didn’t even get permission from his noona (older sister).”
In Korea, “hun-po”is a term used to refer to hunting bars/restaurants, which are popular spots for men to socialize and meet women.
Sadly, RIIZE inactive member Seunghan faced a similar situation when he was placed on an indefinite hiatus after photos of him dating his girlfriend before his debut were made public.
Fortunately, BRIIZEs were more cautious this time and chose to verify the facts beforehand. This was necessary as Han has a negative reputation among K-pop fans for slandering and disrespecting fellow celebrities.
After conducting an investigation, it was discovered that the person posted by Seohee was not Wonbin, but merely someone who resembled him.
During a discussion with a friend, the OP shared additional photographs of the person resembling Wonbin that were captured on May 18.
Based on his specs, style, facial features, physique, and long hair, it is highly likely that non-fans would mistake him for a male idol.
Despite claims that the star was present, BRIIZEs, who are more knowledgeable about the situation, can attest that it was not him. On the date in question, Wonbin was actually out of the country as the group was en route to Mexico.
Upon realizing what had actually occurred, Han Seohee deleted the post and fled, leading to the backfiring of her actions.
In the online forum Instiz, the female idol was criticized for attempting to cause trouble by mentioning Wonbin, specifically during a critical moment.
Despite the release of RIIZE’s 1st mini-album, “RIIZING”, on June 17, fans were furious. If the OP had not provided evidence refuting the rumors that it was Wonbin, the situation could have escalated and caused harm to both the member and the group.
Despite fans’ efforts to bring attention to Han Seohee’s continuous attempts to defame and spread fake news about various SM artists, SM Entertainment has not taken any legal action. Furthermore, Han Seohee has also been linked to NCT members Haechan and Jaehyun in the past.
These are a few of the comments:
- “Han Seohee is going back to jail soon.”
- “This time, SM should sue her properly.”
- “Send her to KWANGYA.”
- “Why are you doing this, really.”
- “I just woke up and saw this. I really feel like sh*t. Please get away from my guy. Why are you even doing this?”
- “Guys, please report this to KWANGYA 119. This isn’t the first time, but these days, she’s been secretly messing with fans. I don’t think we can let her get away from it.”
- “Wow, they don’t even look alike at all.”
