Fans eagerly anticipated an announcement from SM Entertainment, and their excitement was sparked when the company revealed that WayV would be making a comeback. After a hiatus of eight months, fans can look forward to new music from the group.
Despite the initial celebratory atmosphere, the mood quickly shifted to one of solemnity upon learning that WinWin, a member of WayV, would not be able to participate in the comeback due to conflicting filming schedules in China.
SM Entertainment announced on May 9 that due to WinWin’s commitment to a Chinese drama filming schedule, he will be unable to join WayV for their upcoming album release in June. This news has left fans disappointed, especially after their anticipation for the group’s return.

“We understand this news might be disappointing for fans looking forward to WayV’s comeback. We sincerely ask for your understanding and support,”SM Entertainment expressed in their statement.
Originally, he had intended to take part in the group’s comeback. However, changes in WayV’s schedule ended up conflicting with WinWin’s filming obligations, making it impossible for him to join.
“At the end of last year, I got told by the team that we would start preparing a new album in May… I was on the set, shooting my main scene, and I really couldn’t adjust the time to participate in group activities,”WinWin explained.
Despite the lack of evidence to suggest intentional exclusion, the revelation has sparked a range of strong emotions among fans. Some have expressed disappointment while others are questioning SM Entertainment’s decision-making process. The timing of the scheduling changes has also been difficult for fans to overlook.
Sending all our love and support to both Winwin and WayV! 🩵

Everyone needs to know that SM never contacts Winwin Studio about schedule conflicts. They even threatened Wwbar that they will make Ww suffer and ruin his schedules. They have already started. I hope y’all are smart enough to understand this, but qrts are proving the opposite. https://t.co/IlGd3ubOOI
