Counter-Strike 2 Now Allows Players to Rent Expensive Skins for Temporary Use

Valve has recently introduced a feature for Counter-Strike 2 players to rent high-priced weapons, allowing them to flaunt their temporary ownership without actually purchasing the skin permanently.

The recent update on May 23 for Counter-Strike 2 included various adjustments, such as significant alterations to Vertigo’s A Site and a decrease in the price of the M4A4. Additionally, players can now easily differentiate between Molotovs and incendiary grenades due to a visual distinction.

In addition to the gameplay changes, there is also a revamp of cosmetics, allowing players to now rent all skins from the Kilowatt case.

Players can now rent all the skins from the Kilowatt case

Valve recently announced on their blog that, after the May 23 update, opening a Kilowatt case will now offer the option to rent the entire collection for a week.

This rule specifically pertains to the Kilowatt case and does not include any uncommon or unique items, such as knife skins. Therefore, only weapon skins will be available for use. Furthermore, these skins cannot be customized with stickers or nametags, and they are not eligible for sale on the marketplace.

Displayed in the provided image, upon opening a Kilowatt case, you will have two choices. Selecting “Open to keep”will allow you to permanently retain one of the weapon skins, as is customary.

The option to “rent”will grant you access to all 17 weapon skins for a period of seven days. After the seven days have elapsed, the skin will revert back to the default version of the weapon when it expires.

Overall, the cost of renting all the skins, including the case, should come to approximately $3.50 USD. This will allow you to temporarily use valuable skins such as the AK-47 Inheritance and AWP Chrome Cannon.
